The Weather Wizard and Captain Cold looked on forlornly as the Scorpion, Mysterio and the Vulture were led to their cells. Obviously both parties had failed.

When they exchanged stories it was learned that the Flash had evidently routed the threat of the Scourges.

Meanwhile, Mysterio learned that the two Rogue's had fallen at the hands of the Black Cat.

The villains sighed and settled in for prison life.

Jaimie Madrox wandered one part of Star City, while Hydro-Man wandered another.

Jaime split into three to reconnoiter the city better.

Hydro-Man headed for the docks to try to get a job as a dock worker while he tried to lay low and decide his next move.

One of the Madrox duplicates overheard some conversation where the X-Men were mentioned.

Straining to hear more, he used the empathic bond Madrox has with his duplicates to summon them back together.

Day 31: Early Morning, Near a replicated Star City, on an alternate Earth, in an alternate reality created to house heroes and villains from separate realities, primarily, the Marvel and DC universes.

Charles Burlingame's last memory was being painfully crushed by Graviton.

Now he was apparently still alive and on the outskirts of some city he never heard of called Star City. He was in his Charcoal form however.

He wasn't given much time to reflect however, as some nut dressed as a Jack O' Lantern with it's head on fire was bearing down on him from above while hurling concussive grenades.

Jason Macendale found himself revived from the dead as well.

To his astonishment, he found himself in his old Jack O'Lantern gear instead of dressed as the Hobgoblin.

He looked around and saw a city he never heard of called Star City. Bewildered, he took to the sky to get a better look.

While he was trying to get some sense out of what he was seeing a monster appeared. The creature looked like some kind of golem made from charcoal.

Macendale; as Jack O' Lantern, decided to attack it.

Charcoal converted to his flaming incendiary form so that he could engage his attacker aerially.

This startled Macendale so much, he decided to flee.

Charcoal gleefully took off after Jack O' Lantern.

Susan and Johnny Storm could not convince Black Bolt and Medusa to come to Earth and explain what happened to Black Bolt during his arrival.

Black Bolt did not want to leave Attilan unprotected so Invisible Woman and the Human Torch went to them.

Kraven decided he'd try sarsparilla and decided he liked it. When he found out it was non-alcohol, he was a little disappointed.

Kraven decided he craved the hunt, and decided to move on to explore some more.

He wasn't worried because as the world's greatest hunter, he knew how to live off the land.

He found his horse and rode away from the town while the sherriff cowered in his office, hoping he wouldn't have to try to arrest the stranger.

Superman was assured by the Legion that they had things well in hand on Talok VIII and Wildfire agreed to fly Superman back to Earth in the Legion cruiser, promising to alert him if his help was needed again.

Superman was anxious to look in on Metropolis and make sure the city was adjusting well after enduring Luthor's rule.

Ultimate Clayface, Clayface III, Harley Quinn and the Penguin hunkered in their new hideout. They wanted to lay low for a while to avoid drawing Batman's attention.

They had caught the attention of someone else however. Clayface II had observed Ultimate Clayface as he had sprung the Penguin and followed them to their hideout.

Matt Hagen took that moment to reveal himself to the others.

Madrox found a street vendor and asked about the X-Men.

He learned that the X-Men had defended the city along with the Teen Titans against an Omac invasion two days ago. When the city residents began arriving a day later they were informed that the city owed the X-Men a debt.

So now Star City was busy talking about these superheroes from another reality that had fought in the city's defense.

Madrox realised that he was where all the missing X-Men had gone. He decided to seek out the Teen Titans who evidently still in the city.

Hydro-Man asked about dockworker jobs at the Star City docks.

"Sorry pal, nobody's around who has the authority to hire right now. All the big shots of the city aren't here yet."

"What does that mean?"

"What's the deal pal? You didn't get the memo? one third of the city population showed up yesterday, another today, and the final third are expected tomorrow. We're all being kidnapped to a new reality. It's the price ya pay fer livin' in a world of superheroes I guess."

Hydro-Man struggled to understand what he just heard. He'd never been the sharpest knlfe in the drawer. His specialty was glorified henchman.

So now what was he going to do? This whole thing seemed like something for Doc Doom or some big shot supervillain like that.

Hydro-Man moped away, feeling a bit lost. Right now, he might even have welcomed the sight of Spiderman.

Madrox decided the best way to get the Teen Titans attention was to create a scene. So he went to a place that seemed to be Star City's equivalent to Times Square and began multiplying into as many Madrox's as he could to bring the Teen Titans to him.

The Teen Titans were alerted and Raven brought the team to confront Madrox.

Satisfied that he'd achieved his goal, Jaime reabsorbed his duplicates.

Beast Boy, Hawk and Dove, Cyborg, Starfire and Raven surrounded Jaime Madrox questioningly.

Jaime began to explain who he was.

The X-Men were notified and they scrambled the Blackbird to Star City to collect Jaime.

Nick Fury, Mr. Terrific and Cameron Chase were notified about Madrox the Multiple Man and Mr. Terrific excused himself from the proceedings. Nothing was likely to involve Earth 2 so he headed back to Capital City to work with his JSA colleagues.

Fury and Chase realized that Star City was today's focal point for new arrivals and a team was put together of Marvel heroes to assist the Teen Titans in handling potential new threats from the Marvel Universe.

The Hulk and Hellcat were selected along with the Vision, Scarlet Witch, Tigra, Quicksilver and Wonder Man.

The Midnight Rambler approached Hydro-Man.

"Who the bleep are you?" Hydro-Man exclaimed.

"Stay calm. I'm a friend. Justin Hammer. Remember him?"

"Yeah."

"He needs your assistance."

"So?"

"So you should let me take you to him."

"Oh. How ya gonna do that?"

"Leave that to me."

With that, the Midnight Rambler gathered Hydro-Man into his cloak and delivered the villain to the magnate's offices,
