I have been playtesting quinjet for states (not going, too much $$), but don't see how it can beat zombies? if you are playing it at 140, how?
my team was quinjet 70 pts, resource 5 pts, dr strange op 75 pts, quicksilver 75 pts, falcon starter 45 pts, plus 6 I.D. cards 30 pts. that got avengers theme +4. dr strange gives +1defense to all. call in 50 pt iron man off resource dial, with avengers and shield keywords to pilot quinjet.
anyway, don't see that beating, or slowing down zombie horde..........
maybe doc ock x2 , 160 pts, vanisher, jean grey starter with free tk? or harlequin prime? something that gives free attacks, the 50 pt magneto, attack, then use running shot for free and another attack?

You're thinking too hard about building a "complete" team. Play it at 140 plus resource, throw in a couple ultrons and other low point figs to try and maximize your sideline. Think about all the options for id characters you have. You then have the possibility of bringing characters on that are semi permanent with "I have some time to help." Those characters aren't id characters anymore, they can be pilots, if you don't one shot them, they return to the sideline. I can think of one out of nine possible id cards that can bring the ZTB to it's knees. Then if the Quinjet gets hit, I can think of another id card that will hit the ZTB some more, and if you hit that one, the ZTB is gonna get hit again by that same character but not as an id character. ZTB will get out ranged, kc characters as id characters hit really hard. Just put some thought into it.
Boy, I sure have pissed off a lot of people lately on the interwebs. Sorry to all.
What about calling them "Papillomas?"
Zomies is viable and dispite what some people say it can handle a "balanced team" pretty easily if a competent player pilots it. When your 300 points plays against 600 points on the map it becomes a little tough, especially when that 600 refuses to go down easily.
That being said, it's very beatable but you almost have to build to fight it, which could leave you open to be surprised by other teams jo one saw coming.
this is not true. competent player, maybe? I'd like to think anyone showing up for states is a competent player. I will say this is why im 10 for 10 in playtesting. its because when i look across the board and see you playing this TB... i know what your about to do. not just 1st rd or 2nd, but pretty much every round. And lastly you dont get 600 pts of figures. thats implying the zombie TB is releasing figs at full. We all know that aint true. ZSS is about 110 pt fig starting on click 3. lastly, a well balanced team sits across from the TB and doesnt look like much but, the cohesiveness, BALANCE and slight intricacies win the round...because you never expected it.

How in the heck are you bringing in a KC figure ID card with the Quinnjet? What am I missing?
any, yes, ANY i.d. card works with it, it never says marvel or avengers only. so dc ones work, and yes, the KC figs are killer. although I like red son wonder woman to bring in.
I don't agree that there's many balanced teams that can defeat the ZTB. I do agree that the Quinjet is the best bet and the QJ also very competitive against the general field. how many turns, typically, until the QJ is charged up enough to put out a Nick Fury? anything less than 120 i think won't be enough to take down the ZTB.
I agree with the assessment that "i know what you're going to do" when you see a ZTB across from you. ZTB likely got map choice and TURN 2 it's attacking with the Super skrull....maybe the ZSS and it's own attack if it pooped off ZSS mid map first turn and ZSS uses HSS to attack you....followed up by the ZTB move and then attack as well. so knowing what it's going to do and being able to stop it are not the same thing.
Against a Quinjet...does the ZTB focus on the QJ or it's support?

You focus on the figures that get brought out. It's really not a hard match up like everyone is projecting it to be. The quinjet by itself isn't going to do much once all the id cards have been burned.
