All I can say is I love my meta. None of this nonsense has happened so far. We are the type of folks who will watch a player's stuff while he goes to the restroom if he asks. He comes back and checks his stuff--it will all be there. Theft happens with those shady kids who come once in blue moon to big events. I take my stuff with me always, and leave trade stuff at home unless I've setup trade a week in advance or bring small amount to big event. Learned that back in the 80's when some kids tried to steal my Garbage Pail Kid cards, lol.

You meta MUST be really kool. In my area, everything is like divided into sectors and becomes survival of the fittest. Has anyone seen Naruto yet? Well, I here it's a good show on cartoon network and I'm really liking the manga version too. Now imagine their lifestyle and insert it in mine. I can't even walk down the street anymore without some of my friends or complete strangers come up to me and ask to duel. At times, it really scare's me.:(
Mine is very cool......apart from the YGO players, who arent in my Meta, but think that they are better than me at DM because they play YGO. Some random stole my Ultra Pro Satin Red Deck Box :( . Not fun when it had Lancers and Pallys in there

you cant trust anybody where i live, a person goes to the bathroom and his/her binder is left unattended all the good cards will be gone and the store owner will throw most of the people out. but thats at a ygo tourny. i come once in a blue moon and before i can sit down kids are wispering to each other *watch out for this kid hes tim's friend* or something like to the extent of putting the word n00b in the sentence. they are arrogant but i play them and i win, i leave like and never come back. they will remeber the wrath of me. but that was at a ygo tourny.
In our Meta we got rid of the bad apples although they still come around from time to time but they no longer play Duelmasters after we locked down on them they felt trap and so off they went to play magic were they can steel binders filled with moxy cards and stuff from GOD knows when ...
these people never change ...
Kero quite bein scared, it makes ppl feel they have control over you and aparently they do. Get strated on a weight lifting program or somethin to raise your confidence play Lacrosse something. Anywayz the rest of you need to do what Cecillbill does. just bring your deck so you can just put it in your pocket when you leave. The rest of you stop being so paranoid. Wont go places becuz ppl might steal. Psshh someone can do tht anytime. Oya Kero Naruto's been out for along time. you can download all of the episodes off sites. Kids around here are cool but, if someone tries some stupid stuff like what some of you have talkeds about happening thts when ppl get stomped lol(no seriously thts when the hands go up) Thts usually kids not from around the area.
For one thing, as a duelist, I am not appreciated at all in my own town. in Yugioh, local duelists in my neighborhood always lose, and always swear I cheat. In Dm, whenever I enter in tournaments the other duelists get sour about it. They don't like me in them because they see it as drastically reducing their chances of winning. And one tournament host believes me to be a braggart. They say I pick on new duelists.
What makes that so cruelly ironic is that I don't brag at all. I play, make no claims of victory or greatness, take my win or loss, then move on to the next round. I am quite possibly the most hated Duel Masters Duelist in my neighborhood. As for picking on new duelists, I don't pick on them. I just don't go easy on them.
Now one kid, he was a real braggart. Kid was just plain evil. Don't know how old he was, I'm guessing around 10. I couldn't believe I had a worse rap than him. I watched a match he played in a tournament once. When he won, as he stood from the table, he looked at teh judge and said "When I win, I like to point and laugh." He then pointed at his opponent and laughed at him. not exactly good sportsmanship. Later on, he entered in another of our tournaments. He claimed himself to be a Kaijudo Master and always swore he couldn't be beaten. Between rounds he dueled a friend of mine running a light diamond cutter rush deck. When my friend kept summoning low cost blockers and kept drawing with mist rias until he had like 12 creatures on the field, the kid accused him of cheating and quit. IN the tournament, when I faced him, he lost one duel because he forgot to untap his mana. He got upset, started crying, and went to the judge and complained. The judge held up the ruling that you can't untap once you've drawn, and the kid glared at me for the rest of the match.
WOW! That kid must be some serious evil. In my meta, nobody untaps their mana or creatures before they draw. We don't really care and the judges don't seem 2 mind. I feel 4 u man, I feel 4 u.
I was nice to him after that and let him get away with it in the second round. After that, since I wound up fighting him in the finals, I warned him ahead of time that he better remember to untap because I'd get him for it if he forgot. And he in turn reminded me if ever I forgot.

The judge got it wrong. Untapping (in DM) is an automatic thing that happens prior to drawing.
Whether you remember to turn the cards sideways or not, they untap at the start of your turn.
In fact, by not reminding your opponent to untap you're just as culpable of failing to obey the rules of the game as your opponent is by not untapping ...
Judges at all tournaments I've played see things differently than you, apparently. They see it this way: If you forget a game mechanic, then it's your own fault and you can't go back and do it. So if we forgot to draw, we wouldn't be allowed to draw, and if we forgot to untap, then you don't get to. It's not an automatic thing. There is an untapping phase that lines up before the draw phase in the turn order and if you draw, then that meant you skipped the untapping phase and you cannot go back and do it.
you guys are so lucky you have judges that care. where i live you play the game and the so called judges sit at the cash register and talk, whe some1 comes over for a ruling they look at you for a while and tell u to figure it out. people r lucky to even get a fair game in. when i played a game a kid was playing me and his friend was behind secretly telling my cards. luckily i won.

Then they're not really judges. The DCI floor rules for Duel Masters are quite clear about this.
You _can't_ forget to untap. It happens automatically at the start of your turn. In a similar way, you can't "forget" to draw.
Again, I'll point out that if your opponent doesn't "untap" and you don't remind them to untap (or allow them to use their mana as if it was untapped at the start of the turn) then _you_ are cheating.
*edit* incidentally, how would they rule if I "forgot" to untap my cryptic totem,?
And you just lied to me. I pulled out my copy of teh Duel Masters DCI floor rules and they don't even mention anything about the untapping phase. what they do is refer to the rule book, which merely states " If you have any tapped cards, untap them now to show that you get to use those card again this turn". Apparently if you don't untap, you don't get to use them again.
