The "regular version" of the Marvel Legends was a grey-templed version (perhaps Days of Future Past Wolvie). His card has the same grey-haired look. The alternate is simply modern Wolverine. Only difference is the hair color. Both have the identical Jon Boy Meyers art (except the hair color). I prefer the Varient figure...he comes with a spiffy cowboy hat with the folded-up brim sides.
Don't know if you could see the difference on e-bay as it is simply an issue of hair shading.
I'd like a 7-drop Hulk with different art. I'm not really a fan of the current art.
I'd agree with that actually, the current art seems kinda like a joke. Not as in "it's so bad it's a joke", but as in it's trying to be funny, which I don't think it's doing too well if it is.
So yeah, if there are enough people who actually run 7-Drop Hulk, I say make him an Alternate Art. Do many people run 7-Drop Hulk over Hercules though? Only two 7-Drops I run in my Avengers/JLI are Hercules and 7-Drop Captain Marvel.
I run him, but that's just because I really like Hulk. Now, is this discussion about what alternate arts we want, or what playable alternate arts we want?

Both I guess, although personally I don't see that much point of an alternate art that would NEVER see play, unless maybe you use them as some kind of decoration. Personally, I put some of the cards I won't ever need in hard-cases, tape them shut, and give them to my daughter to play with since she's 3 and is always asking me about my cards and comic-books; so I'm not saying no-one would benefit from a "useless" one, but come on.
Most cards see SOME play though, somewhere. I just think playability should be one of the considerations in which cards should have alternate art versions.
Gamora 3 drop got the worst art ever. I'd like to see an alternate art for her, that is attractive.
I mean come on she's a Green Chick.
Really? I mean, I kinda like the art for Gamora. I think maybe you're saying you want a more *risque* picture of Gamora?
Also, just in the off chance you didn't notice, Gamora and Pip the Troll have slider-potential for their art. They'd probably make her a slider before they would an AA.
