Galactus update:

The Mighty Galactus has fallen... due to betrayal within his ranks. The craven Silver Surfer turned the Devourer, as he is want to do, in the midst of a thunderous battle with the forces of the planet Kn'Kn. Led by the mind-altering Gorilla Grodd, the alliance forces were able to rebuke my advances on that pitiful mudball. Although battered and bruised, Galactus still hungers... and shall return...

John wins the roll and takes evens.

Turn 1

John keeps the nut draw, Hunte Castle, 1, 2, 2-drop. Erik mulls the 3, 4-drop, two plot twists. John pulls double Secret Files with his turn 1 draw.

John drops his Catwoman, flips Hunte Castle and messes Erik up.

Turn 2

“You gonna beat-down, John. BEAT, DOWN?” – Erik

John drops his Johnny Quick and smashes more face.

Turn 3

Erik finally finds his drop, recruits Batman and passes. John plays a Secret Files and both players search for dudes. John grabs his Black Manta and Erik gets the new 5-drop Superman. John plays Manta and passes.

“That’s a lot of damage on the board, Erik.” – Billy
“Thanks for telling me…” – Erik

Erik strums his cards for five minutes, and then passes. Excellent choice. John teams to the face, Erik uses Batman to replace the Castle (into a Flying Kick), then flips Stryker’s Island.

Turn 4

John plays Secret Files again.

“Gonna get the JUICE!” – John

John gets Wolverine, Covert Predator… Erik grabs no-cost Supes. Patch drops the Predator and Erik plays Supes.

John sends Wolverine into Batman. Cabbie responds with Batman to blow up the Island, and then Bats goes down. Next, Patch plays Kick on Johnny and then teams him with Catwoman into Supes… Erik flips For the Man Who Has Everything to get a power-up and then does it again from his had to try for the 1-point brick. Patch plays Skreeeeeee! To get up by 1. Erik, annoyed, flips another search card and gets another power-up, then another from his hand to get up by 1 again. Patch tosses a Flying Kick on top to seal the deal. Supes and Quick goes down. Finally, Manta comes in for 8.

Turn 5

Erik flips and activates Cadmus Labs and recruits Superman, Metropolis Marvel in front of no-cost Supes. Patch plays White Martian and passes.

Erik teams Patch’s face for 23. Patch sends Manta, Catwoman and Quick into 5-drop Supes… Cabby replaces the Labs to give his Supes +1/+1 and then plays another For the Man to power up to get to 15 DEF. He then flips and uses another Labs to get up by 1. Patch responds with a Crime Syndicate of Amerika to go up by 2. Erik runs out of answers and takes the stun. Patch announces his next attack… but before he can finish his sentence, Erik is already out the door and heading for the bathroom, trying to catch the “D” train, hitting up “D” street café … dump truck.

Patch cheats, he was coughing "stuff" on his opponent!

Galactus is pleased to announce that the Curtis Brown and his "cronies" have been utterly obliterated after mounting three unsuccessful attacks against Galactus and his Heralds. My hunger is sated for now, but every moment that passes sees that same hunger renew and grow exponentially. Soon, Galactus shall feed again...

just got home. sorry about the lack of day 2 coverage but i ran 7 games of Galactus today (most games ran to an hour or more) and just didn't have the time. i will update tomorrow with more pics and stuffs.

In the TbS gunslinger prize picture you had posted, there is an EA that I cannot figure out what it is. It is in the top left of the picture, and looks like it is a 2 (maybe 7) cost plot twist. Could you please let me know what that card is?

2 of the guys that smacked down your Galactus are form Spokane. Way to go Chris and Kelly. Not sure who they were playing with, but I immediately got a phone call about how Grodd went all Ape#### on your Surfer.

I really want to see a nice DC deck come out for this type format already. I hate DC, but tend to like their villains, so it should be a great deck.
