I can never place high enough in PVP to score a 4*, let alone a newly released 4*

So help me with my math. How did you get all of the colors already?

Got Blue from SHIELD Training. Got Red/Yellow for placing #23 in SCL1.9.

Oh yeah...totally forgot release pves did that.

Got a Worthy Cap from his vault and my progression from Worth It, puts my new Cap at 2/2/2. Satisfying.

If he does one more round in PVE and PVP between now and his SHIELD Training, I should easily score 3 covers from that (PVE placement, the next PVE progress, and then the PVP progress, I never expect to place in PVP). Between that and BH pulls, I'm not that worried about getting to 10 covers in time.

Fwiw, they have not been getting featured until they are used in the training. Like the recent Juggy PVE was his first feature since introduction. I would expect the same here.

Speaking of Juggy, I did not manage a Cap, but I did snag the Juggy from Cap’s vault. He is up to 3/5/4 for me now. Maybe I will be lucky and get him finished before Torch can be BHed. I would like to try for some Vulture covers.

Looking back on this thread, I can see that I got Juggie champed as a result of cracking a hoard of LTs. Seeing as how I got ten 4* BHs from that hoard, it explains a bit.

OK ... I'm gonna reset my vault and get the 2 (or 3) ten-packs remaining. If I can get Cap up to 7 covers, I'll be in a good place for SHIELD Training as there will be SHIELD Simulator with Cap, a PVE Placement and then a progression all within the SHIELD Training timeframe -- right???

I think you may be getting a little too panicked here.
You have 6. You need 10.
I am guessing that there will be a training with Torch before we get one with Cap. Though I could easily see them skipping Torch since there may be a 5* release in there that would be for when he would have been in training.
Anyway, you should have some time with him as a BH before he is needed. All you need to snag is one.
I'd save my resources for the anniversary.

D3Go will be attending NYCC. Attending a con usually means a free 3* cover if you get the code. Anyone have someone going that can scope it out?

Step 1 - Match purples until you have 7AP
Step 2 - Keep matching non-purples until purple is the most common color
Step 3 - Fire his purple power over and over again until you wipe out the board.

Every now and again, you can probably use his red or blue to make a 5-digit-damage attack.

Is it as fast as Gritty? No, not by a long shot. But it brings me joy and I love using a different team every so often. And I'm in IP for the progression. I barely expect top 50, so I can take as long as I want, dammit.

I'm glad I have a couple covers, but I really was hoping for a Boss Event or something to lighten things up a bit.

Hopefully the Anniversary is actually fun...

It'd be something if they made 4* Prof a feeder along with a few other feeders during the anniversary.
