Oh, and Des-, there are lots of Earth Fiends nowadays: Protector of the Sanctuary, Vilepawn Archfiend, Coach Goblin, and Goblin of Greed come to mind easily.

And it may be an option for those decks that want Mazera. Zera is earth, so is Vilepawn, DarkBishop is water and......hey! WE NEED MORE WATER FIENDS! Oh to take advantage of ALO, *drool*

Come on man, this has been one of the most productive threads ever, has spawned numerous rip-offs of it, and even lead to the creation of a fiendish mailing group headed by the dark lord himself.

Also, I am pretty sure this is the longest thread ever!

and if it did close, i'm sure we'll just start a new one as fiends/fiend duelist cannot be stopped and will unite to demonstrate their power

Squid
I ran 2 Reinforcement of the Army, 3 Pandemonium, 3 Terraforming, 1 Warrior and 1 Mazera. The only piece of the puzzle that ISN'T searchable is Mazera. Just play your Archfiend deck and think of Mazera as a bonus rather than something you HAVE to pull off. More often than not, you'll be able to pull off the combo. Sometimes, it isn't even needed. I have an extra Warrior of Zera that I can send your way. Just E-mail me.

Everyone pretty much mentioned why I run MJ#2. When I get ANY hand with MJ#2 in it, it stay there as a last resort. If my opponent crowds me too much and actually destroys my archfiends, I slap an MJ#2 on them. They drop a LOT of cards into the graveyard before fulfilling the requirements for MJ#2 and fear attacking face-down monsters. Also, 2 copies of MJ#2, 1 Copy of Fiber Jar, 1 Copy of Cyber and 1 copy of Summoner gives me PLENTY of face-down monster bluffing and executing advantage. I also get to use my Noblemen of Crossout on their face-down monsters. I rarely ever place MJ#2 on the field when I have monsters there. MJ#2 also gets rid of Spells and Trap cards that might have been a problem later on. Remember, with the loss of mass monster removal, duelists will begin running multiples of many single monster removal cards like Hammer Shoot, Fissure, and Nobleman of Crossout.

Ectoplasmer is Ultra Rare and the Malice Dolls are VERY common.

Kisetai is one of my favorite card pictures. He looks like he’s giving your opponent the finger. LOL!!! The best card to run him with is Nightmare Wheel or Creature Swap to take the equipped monster and give them a Tomato.

Desolutionist – I didn’t forget. Element Soldier is a Warrior. He’s also the first of his kind with a fiend effect. I swear, first Diffusion Wave Motion, and Wicked Breaking and now this.

Archon – They also get these stats from the Fiendish Duelist Mailing List SOD card list.

Dillie-O – Remember that you were one of the first people I invited to join the group. We’ve exchanged E-mails and I see the great potential you have.

Gailsad[ – I’m sorry you feel that way but it really HAS stayed in topic. If you’re bothered by the E-mails, PM me and I’ll tell you how to unsubscribe from the thread. I would think you’d be proud to be the person who started the longest thread in YGORealms history (or at least the past year or so!).

TDMadness - I used Twin-Headed Wolf until I got a Ha Des. I'll post a commentary on him in your honor.


Unfortunately, SOD didn’t give us TOO much of a boost. I mean, the Malice Doll and Ectoplasmer combo is FREAKING deadly. I tried it today. And the Dark Mimics are OK if you’re into heavy deck thinning, but other than that, we were pretty much left out.

Unless there’s something I haven’t seen yet. I re-re-recheck SOD and see if I see anything.

Well, I should have been more specific. Waldo, himself has posted on this very thread (though first on the Fiendish mailing List), that this was coming and that he would be doing verification work on it.

Also, magiciennoir hinted that this may indeed be the case, on the thread "Dark Necrofear" posted in the Rulings Forum.

However, I myself have no concrete evidence to support such a change has actually occurred, as of this date. i should have been more clear so that I dont start unfounded rumors. So, thanks for reminder, Envoy. (PS: its spelled evidence :p )jk

DilliO- SEE!! i told you that you are a fabulous addition to the Fiendish Pit. Even the Green Man confirms this. Heck, you are a more worthy Fiender than myself. (next we start DilliO on some self-esteem seminars)

Ladies and Gents: dont be trapped. Gailsad is well entitled to his opinions. The irony is: after his post there were 7 instances of spamming arguing with him, in a row. ;) Eventually this thread WILL fade into obscurity, as it will be impossible to remember everything we have gone over and we will start to repeat ourselves. And if we continue with more pages, NO ONE is going to have the time to go back and find and review what's already here. (Unless you are obsessed like myself). So go back and start cutting and pasting whatever info you want into a personal file.

Now, here is a bite of mental food for all you:

I have been going back trying to find the best way to take advantage of the effect of that one seriously forgotten Fiend: Tainted Wisdom. I am looking for help in abusing it. Or have I, once more, gone off the deep end thinking I can use this old (MRL?) card??

As for the fiend thread, I say keep it going, it helps us evaluate proper recruits and I wouldn't consider this a spam thread at all, behind Waldo's commentary, and the great insights to cards/strategies provided by Squid, DMU, Tmadness, Juvenile and others, ANYBODY can get a serious shot of consideration to what it would take to run fiends. I say keep it rolling 8^D

P.S. I just tried to walk out of my cube to grab some water and I couldn't make it because my head got stuck between the walls. Any online therapists you can recommend Squid? 8^D

Definately keep it moving. I love checking this thread in the morning before work, and in the afternoon to see what's been said.

It really is an amazing thread, and many players, (Dilleo included, and Squid, won't forget you either, lol) have contributed great combos.

Oh and to everyone who wants to know, Washington Regionals will be held Nov 13th at the Card Exchange...or at least that's what I've heard. I'll be taking my Fiendomorphasis deck.
