actually yeah hades would be nice with malice. You wouldn't even need sasuke samurai or mystic swordsman as malice has 1600atk, and with hades on the field it can negate as well.
wooooo got me a Ha Des today just before a tournament. Went really well to start with, won the first 3 matches on the trot with dark Ruler + Necrofear on the field at the same time in almost ALL the sets. Unfortunatly came up against the winner AND the runner up in the next two. Ended up 26th out of 72 (not bad) and just outside the prizes.
The ban list has slapped me in the face, and I have been restlessly experimenting with unique and un-original deck types. Pryofire14 has predicted the new M:S:T ratio to be, 18:14:8. (and I couldn't have agreed more) With the new monster count being higher than any of the other ratios, cards such as Non-Agression Area, cripples your oppenent's hand ruthlessly. I haven't completely finished this deck yet, but you can expect it to abuse the most powerful fiend in the game; Last Warrior From Another Planet!
Seeing how I haven't been active on YuGiOhRealms in quite a while, there were alot of posts to read. (Especially in this thread!!) Here are a few thoughts I would have pitched in, if I were active:
Waldo-Makyora the Destroyer is expected in the "reprint set", Dark Beginnings. (Sometime in October)
Squid- I am also a fan of Mask of Darkness, and prefer it over Aswan Apparition. Mask of Darkness's effect ay only work once, but the fact that you may return the trap card to your hand, instead of the top of the deck, appeals to me more. (Although Aswan Apparition may be utilized in the LWFAP deck.)
Thanks for putting all of Waldo's descriptions in order for everyone to enjoy. This way people will not have to read the entire Thread for what is only 3-4 pages of Fiend strategy. (Of course other fiend strategy is discussed, but to be involved with that, you have to read the entire thread ^_^)
NinjaDuelist-LOL, how many times have you asked someone to help you with the Ecto-Malice Control deck??? Well, my advice is to look for other cards that benift when they are sent from the field to the graveyard and cards that will help you accomplish this. (Other than Ectoplasmer) That would be a pretty sick deck. SICK!!!
i guess with ectoplasmer some good cards to use would be the 'robbin' traps. serpent, of course. the Level Mimics synergize well, but i cannot seem to think of any other cards to combo that well with it. now, if we somehow had some cntinuaus magic that made all monsters sent from the feild to the graveyard count as battle destruction, well then we could use the searchers crazily, as well as the diabolical Giant Germ. Peten the Dark Clown also has potential with this deck.
Hey, all! I'm baaaaaaaack! I battled at my local tournament (and lost) with my Mucus Yolk Deck and it was very fun to use. I added in a Butterfly Dagger-Elma and it greatly helped. Ofcourse, I tried to get some Ectoplasmer cards and no one would trade thier Ectos! I got three Malice Doll of Demise, but they're useless without its spell counterpart. So, I am running a Fiend Control/Dark Master-Zorc Deck for now. I haven't tried it out, but I hopefully will soon get the chance ^_^
^_^I guess this is my first post here(and this is one of the first topics I read)
I currently own a Burner deck, and I wanna improve my secondary(soon to become primary!) Archfiend Deck
I was reading around
but the general Idea seemed to be
3x Terror King(I need2 more)
3-2x Infernal Queens(I have 2, maybe 1 more>?)
i have 3 vile pawns, darkbishops, shadowknights, and Desrooks
but im not sure what my entire deck should consist of
I might not be able to afford all the cards depending on my situation, I have a destruction ring(I got it in my first booster in 2 years^^)
and a mirror Force from a while back, and a few other random holos :)
For Archfiends I have most of the primaries, like Archfiend's Roar
but im not sur eabout the rest of the cards, Lesser fiend seems to be a general choice
Any suggestions? :cheeky:
Ok guys, I'm back. My computer is officially fixed, although there's a chance that I may have jinxed something. Anyway, I shouldn't be missing any more posts, I just read up everything that I missed. First of all, to Heavy Metal King on your Archfiend stall deck, I'll tell you now that I think it can work. I've been playing with decks that use Gravity Bind, Level Limit, and Messenger of Peace, and using combinations of Vilepawn, Infernalqueen, and Desrook, I can get through it with ease. It's not that hard actually. As soon as they get out the gravity bind or whatever, it's usually because I have field prescence and they need to block their lifepoints, so I do something to get rid of an Archfiend, and then using either Last Will or Pandemonium's effect I get out the Vilepawn lock and continue through with it. It especially helps if you have an Infernalqueen or Axe of Despair, so that nothing can stop your 2200 level two pawns. The only thing that you should watch out for are the Messenger of Peace's. Since you can't attack once you get to the attack power you need to destroy just about any monster, it's better to have a Cursed Seal or two handy to seal away those and have them depend on their other stall cards that help you more. And yes, I realize that playing Desrooks maybe suicide because you can't revive Terrorking, but of course they'd be useless in your hands too if Terrorking is just standing there being stalled.
Oh, and Infernalqueen Archfiend is level 4, just so you know.
Next, I found another nice card, Statue of the Wicked. I originally couldn't find anyway to use it, because of the fact that I have Vilepawns, but that's when I realized that Statue of the Wicked becomes a level 4 fiend token. The thing to take note of is that it becomes level 4, I originally thought it goes to level 1. This means that not only does it help block my lifepoints, but it also leaves a canidate for using Puppet Magic of Dark Ruler to bring back a Terrorking.
Waldo, please tell me why you haven't reviewed Statue of the Wicked.
Tf-Grimlock - Welcome to the army of the (arch)fiends!!! Now, to help your deck, we need a few things:
* Pre-ban or Post-ban?
* Give us the whole list of the deck so we can understand your strategy
* Lookin' for field control? Burner? Exodia? What is your strategy with the powerful Archfiends?
Give us that info and how it works and then the Fiend Masters who are stationed here will help you construct the coolest (Arch)fiend deck around!!
Prolink - Now, now. I know that the fiendish card Statue of the Wicked hasn't been reviewed, but we can't expect Waldo to review ALL of the fiend cards.... ofcourse, knowing him, he will ^_^
"Let's take a look under the hood."
STATUE OF THE WICKED
Wow, this card is completely underlooked! It has to be destroyed in order to get its effect! Now, I preferred the japanese version when the token had 1800 ATK power, but they decreased it in the english version. Oh well...
In order for it to activate, it must be destroyed. Well, without three MSTs and HFD, your opponent may not activate it too often. So, better do it yourself unless you want to bluff your opponent (which that is really evil ^_^). Heavy Storm, MST, maybe Dust Tornado and Breaker would work for it. Out of those selections, I prefer Heavy Storm. Take out possibly multiples of those while wiping your opponent's F/D spells and traps.
Now, what is so good for this card, you ask? First off, its a Fiend ^_^. That gives it an advantage in a (Arch)fiend deck, thanks to the ruler. A Dark Ruler would never leave a fiend behind. It can also boost the attack power of the Goblin King by 1000 ATK for each one. So this card has good uses being a fiend.
Its attack power won't kill much, but its level four attribute could really serve a purpose in a fiend deck. It could help reach the requirements for the great Dark Master-Zorc. It could be Metamorphed into a... Dark Flare Dragon? (Okay, that wasn't a brilliant one, but it could let you win by the 500 attack difference.) It could be used for tribute summoning something more useful (Dark Ruler, anyone?). And, like mentioned before, The Puppet Magic of Dark Ruler. This one I like out of the rest (although the DMZ idea could really help) and it could bring back the Terroking Archfiend, like Prolink said.
So, if anyone says this card is useless, I shall poke them in the eye. 'Cause this card has some sick combos to go with it. Hope you enjoyed the review ^_^

Well, Pre Ban or Post ban both work, im mostly trying to go post ban
I have quite a few cards from friends and from buying a few boosters, i dont have much ofa burnerdeck yet,but imtrying to focus on archfiend first(they look so darned cool!)
I have most of the basic archfiend cards(monsters, and field card, trapsetc)
But im not sure what I should use
Im going to get 2 more kings, and im looking for a speedy type of deck, mainly because my friends deck is really quick and I get knocked off quickly :S
He uses pre ban, so pre ban would be ok thanks
Well, three Terrokings is a must. Support that with three Desrooks. Three Pandemoniums and two or three Terraforming to support that. Queens are good to use, and Pawns can help out greatly. If you use the Queens and Pawns, I suggest Last Will to help get them out aside from Pandemonium. These are the basics here. ^_^
falling downs are also esential, this card is one of the many reasons that archfiends are so great, tey have the ability to run three snatch steals (well basically snatch steals at least) in one deck as well as the original one.
NinjaDuelist pretty much got Statue of the Wicked on the money. The "Wicked Token" are great to have on the field. They can be used for Tribute Summons, or for "Staunch Defender" to protect your monsters from any attacks for the turn.
Nowadays, when S/T removal is so critical and rare, that using one of your 2 or 3 Dust Tornadoes, your single MST or your only Heavy Storm, and realizing that you've just given your opponent a new monster on the field can be a horrible experience for your opponent.
I have also realized the wonderful, wonderful use of Interdimensional Matter Transporter, and Dimensionhole now that "Ojama King" is out. I've taken out a lot of cards in my deck to add a second IMT and a Dimensionhole and pretty much try to slap Ojama King on the field and keep him there. IMT and Dimensionhole both come in handy with Summoner of Illusions AND Scientist.
Now, a Malice Doll Deck will be a burn and Stall deck, but most importantly, a FIELD control deck. The idea is to get Mailce Doll to trigger and keep burning your opponent. The 2 ways to do this is "Ectoplasmer" and "Mass Driver". SO already we have:
Malice Doll of Demise - Duh!
Ectoplasmer - Duh!
Mass Driver - Continuous Spell that can send monsters to the graveyard and inflict damage.
Now, we need field control. Yes, Ectoplasmer will force your opponent to tribute their monsters, but ultimately, that will cause damage to you. So let's stop your opponent from getting monsters on the field during the End Phase. You can either destroy your opponent's before the End Phase or stop them from getting monsters on the field at all. We need Traps that can activate when youre opponent summons a monster or chainable at the End Phase. You don't want your opponent to keep a monster face-up during the End Phase.
Torrential Tribute - destroy your opponents monsters and stop them from causing damage.
Non-Aggresion Area - If your opponent has no monsters on their side of the field, then they can't tribute them.
Offerings to the Doomed - Destroy your opponent's monsters and they can't tribute them during the End Phase.
Book of Moon - If your opponent's only monster is face-down, then they can't be tributed.
You also need to be able to Special summon monsters on the fly. Magical Scientist FTKs/OTKs based their entire decks on tributing Special summoned monsters and inflict damage to their opponent equal to half of the attack of the monster. Ectoplasmer only inflicts damage equal to half of the ORIGINAL attack of the monster, but that's still good.
Magical Scientist - With 2200 and 2100 ATK fusion monsters, this might not be such a bad idea.
Summoner of Illusions - Summoning "Master of Oz", attacking with the uber strong 4200ATK monster and then tributing him to inflict 2100 points of damage will put your opponent on the ropes quickly. With the previously mentioned Book of Moon in your deck, you might be able to keep Master of Oz on the field for a good while.
Last Will - When you monster is tributed, you'll be able to special summon another to take it's place.
You also need to protect your life points. The 2 main traps for this are:
Waboku - to stop your opopoinent from damaging you TOO much.
Hallowed Life Barrier - With this card, when your opponent tributed a monster for Ectoplasmer, your LP will be safe.
Make the most of your burn, with the help of 3 cards:
Dark Room of Nightmares - 500 extra damage when you burn them
Toll - You won't be attacking much with your deck, so make your opponent pay 500 LP for each attack and then have them deal with Waboku or HLB
Coffin Seller - This card will force your opponent to lose 300 LP each time their lose a monster to the graveyard, Ectoplasmer being the main culprit.
And for the final touch of evil...
Soul Exchange - If your opponent manages to keep a monster on the field during yourt turn, this card will allow you to tribute your opponent's monster, to infliuct damage to THEM with Ectoplasmer + 300 extra if Coffin Seller is out.
There are LOTS of ways to abuse this strategy.
Just remember to be evil about it!!!

New York, NY Homer: Ahh, now to spend some quality time away from my family.
OK, Im off on a tangent rightnow. I saw Waldo mention Book of Moon as a way to prevent your opponent from tributing monsters via Ectoplasmer and it reminded me of something completely unrelated.
I have 2 Book of Moon myself. And both of them are occupying slots in other decks. (Ireally need to find about 10 more). Anyways, I decided to try something different in one of my Fiend Decks. I put in Darkness Approaches. It works well for sending Fiends to the Grave, OR I can dump 2 Night Assailants for a ghetto version of BoM. In fact, if I could find a way to live without Necrofear and Newdoria, I could almost make it into an all-commons Fiend Deck.
