actually, carlos, that other Superboy was created by the Time Trapper in a pocket Universe, same one, it's supposed, that Superman went to and killed that version of General Zod and his two cronies. Also where one of the Supergirl's came from.
The Superboy was in pre-crisis, suppose to be the silver-age Superman as a boy. Where as Superboy Prime was not from that earth, so he was different. Superboy prime is also, since he's pre-crisis, able to become stronger then the current Superman, if he gets enough sun on him.
Now, Superman grew up without all those powers and never became Superboy.

how many Supergirl we have after her??
She merged with Linda Danvers/the Earth Angel and became the "White T-Shirt" Supergirl in PAD's series.
All of that was thrown out with IC (according to History of the DCU), so there never was a Pocket Universe/Matrix Supergirl/Phantom Zone villain execution.
For the record, Post-Crisis Supergirls line up like this:
- Matrix/Linda Danvers/Earth Angel
- Kara from Superman/Aliens
- Cir-El: genetically created from Lois and Clark and sent back in time.
- Kara Zor-El: refuge from before Crisis, stayed in the DCU for a while before going back (see "Many Happy Returns" from the last issues of the previous Supergirl series)
- Kara Zor-El from the Superman/Batman series.
All but the last one seem to have been wiped out in IC.

I looked up Superman #22 on Ebay, and all that came up was Superman, The Man of Steel #22, with Steel on the cover. It's one of the Reign of Supermen issues.
Must have this issue!

no, no that is the first apa. of Steel.
the murder of Superman is in the mail Superman collection. number 22.
the 22 is the last Byrne with the kill of the kryptonians.
Byrne also do 17 comics in Action Comics (each was a team up with other character) and he write some Adventures of Superman like the Superman 22 was a story in 3 parts. one with Adventures.
