While I was not a fan of the Maximums story line at all...really disliked it....the last two issues of the book with Robin/Superboy and Huntress/Power Girl really touched me.
The Robin/Superboy one was great, especially the scene in the hot tub. But that it was a story by Jeph Loeb's son (or a concept by Jeph Loeb's son) who died of cancer last year really got to me...especially the bit at the end. I also liked the different artists and writers for every page...confusing at first, but once I understood what was going on, it was great seeing everyone taking a different stab at drawing the team (that I will sorely miss! They had great dialogue between each other....sigh). I'll admit it...I kinda teared up reading "sam's story" at the end.
Second, the Huntress/PG switching bodies thing....LOVED IT! Just the beginning when PG goes "Ok, Ill say it first. I'm Superman". While it had some great stuff between Huntress and Batman, I thought it was just amusing to think of Bats and Supes in different bodies.
Thoughts on these two issues?

IN a flashback, Robin tells a story to the Titans about when Superman and Batman asked Robin and Superboy to go check on Hiro because no one has heard from him in several weeks. Robin and Superboy head to Hiro's (the new Toyman) headquarters and find it in destruction. As they go through the mansion, they are in a bizarre world that keeps changing, as if the original Toyman is back and messing with our two young heroes. At one point, Superboy is found in a hot tub with a quite nude Supergirl, Raven, and Starfire. They are robots, but Superboy doesn't care. Robin promptly destroys the robots and Superboy sulks and calls him a killjoy. It is a very funny scene.

Liked them both a lot. While I enjoyed the Maximums/Joker/Mxy story (they played Heroclix!) it was a bit hard to follow at points (constant delays don't help). It was especially nice to have a couple of very good, self contained to one issue, stories.
The tribute to Sam was probably one of the best issues of the series, if not the year. It was well done, and the fact that it was a collabortion of talent, in Sam's honor made it special.
The Huntress/Power Girl issue was a nice look at the Pre-Crisis girls.

The question is, do we ever see a Batzaro clix?
I did like how they were playing Clix...and I wouldn't mind a Batzarro clix, although. But the delays are killing me.

Not to mention letting a few younger readers get an idea about how different Earth-2 Batman and Huntress were from their current versions.
I did enjoy the story, well written and with just enough humour. Tho I do wonder how Superman felt having Powergirl's ......... assets.
I think we should have more of this one-issues in the series. Do more exploring the what-ifs and the stories you never see. I like seeing Clark and Bruce have a little fun..or at least attempt humor.

All comic series should have issues like that. Not everything needs to be a 6 issue story arc, created with a trade in mind.

I like more the scene in Teen Titans one year later when Wonder Girl Kiss Robin criying missing and thinking in Superboy and Robin Tim kissher back thinking in Superboy also.
oh, yeah. I liked the Robin / Wonder Girl kiss. It was not as much a shock as the kiss over in the Batman annual when Jason Todd and Talia had a lip-lock, but there ya go.
That's why I am more than content waiting for the Trades/Hardbacks to come out.
Superman/Batman Hardback #4 just came out yesterday and I scooped it right up. I'm now going to re-read the entire series from the very first hardback.

I wish I had your patience....I started with the first arc and had to keep reading....
