No, you're not alone.

he was in every JLA Lineup ever! (except for that undergound JLA, which bit the big one.)
And so far his mini series is a piece of ####e. I don't think J'onn ever needed a re-inventing. I like his old look, his new look..........bleh! Someone already said it, he looks like a skrull. Hey lets throw out years and years of character backstory and everything we knew about the martians. So far DC is starting to erk me. (That's one level below pissing me off)
if you read this then you lost 10 seconds you'll never get back.
Why must DC insist on making the comic in synch with the JLA cartoon. A cartoon, I must say, that is no longer being produced.
Hawkgirl? Vixen?!? Come on, DC... get with it. Hawkgirl belongs with the JSA and Vixen belongs with a revamped Suicide Squad that resembles it's 1980's version.
Otherwise, I have no complaints.
There were too many heroes appearing in JLU to call Vixen or Hawkgirl (and it's Kendra anyhow) as efforts to emulate the cartoon. Seems like they would have spared Shayera in "Rann/Thanagar War" and used John instead of Hal (and of course Ollie instead of Roy) if they were serious about synching.

????
I don't know a tremendous lot about Black Lightning, but I'm pretty sure any previous time he turned down league membership was prior to his daughter being created. Thunder is a four-year-old retcon.

Think of it as a character growth thing. J'onn IS the heart and soul of the JLA, he's been on every version, that I know of. I think it's great to keep him off, and try to grow his character in his own story. He'll be back, as was stated, probably when a different writer takes over.
1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC
I thought that the big 3 were picking the team. I can't really see them assembling this team. Who would Superman have nominated? Batman was on the Outsiders with Black Lightning? None of them know Vixen all that well, or Hawkgirl for that matter.

I'm just upset 'cause Zatanna didn't make it.
Has she regained her powers, yet? As of the Seven Soldeirs mini, she seemed to have lost them.

come on. Is nothing more perfect than the JLA Satelite era. and if you will not do that (and you can't do it again) you must be original.
The idea of Wonder Woman-Batman-Superman again is (how already somebody say here) is fake. WW kill someone, people!
my idea:
A Justice League with Batman as lider tryng to put Wonder Woman in jail, just for some time. or a Jutice League of really hard hitters lider by Wonder Woman with Warriors only like Hawkman and Hawkgiel and others.
something more original. this is more of the same.
I don't see why the big flip-out over Wonder Woman being on the team.
First off, as noted, the Trinity made peace. When they saw how close their personal "war" came to ruining the world - i.e. a lot of Infinite Crisis was possible because those three weren't on their game - and remembered their past together, they worked to be allies again. Let's be honest - Diana was created by the Greek gods to be the paragon of a warrior culture and I'm sure somewhere in the back of their heads, Bruce and Clark always knew this was a possibility. More importantly, she showed came to show true remorse over her actions and isn't part of being friends forgiving someone? Heck, folks aren't flipping out over Hal being on the team and he killed a _lot_ more than one person.
Oh, and the second and bigger point - as far as we know, as of the Wonder Woman series, that's Donna, not Diana as WW. Donna's wearing the classic star-spangled armour while Diana's sporting the 1970's secret agent look.

Yeah, go pick up the last couple of issues of Catwoman where Selina demanded Zatanna mindwipe the two guys who figured out her secret identity and tried to kill her and Helena.
Zatanna's definitely got her mojo back.
