The sky is blue and all the leaves are green.
My heart's as full as a baked potata.
I think I know precisely what I mean,
When I say it's a shpadoinkle day!
I'm not sure, but I think I came pretty close to calling that one.

Oooh, there's a shock. The big three don't hate each other enough to stop working together if it means a JLA title that doesn't have the all-stars. I guess the whole "Crisis/52" thing wasn't as big of a deal as we were lead to believe. If it was, the big blue boy scout wouldn't be on the same team with Wonder Woman. Niether would the sanctimonious, grim and gritty Batman. He'd never forgive her for purposefully taking a life. Once again something that should have huge, meaningful and lasting impact is marginalized for the sake of selling a title.
I bought "Infinite Crisis" and the only lasting impact is Blue Beetle and Superboy are dead (for now, but Superboy will be back any week now I'm sure). We sure didn't need a whole "world shaking event" just to kill Ted Kord. I love the character, but a back-up story in Detective Comics or even a one-shot would have sufficed.
I've been buying "52" and the only lasting impact to date is Booster Gold is dead. 13 weeks for THAT? Did somebody tatoo "Sucker" on my head when I was sleeping?
I feel cheated on a lot of levels. I'm done with "52". And if that's the line up, I can't support the JLA - it makes no sense. To blow off continuity from 40 years ago that few remember is one thing. To blow off the puported biggest deal in comics of this decade (WW killing Lord) when his proverbial corpse isn't even cold yet is just shameful, lame and wrong. Maybe I'll have to start reading "Invincible" after all.
Animal-Man, like any key player in 52, will be AWOL from the DCU until 52 wraps. This includes Starfire, the Question, Montoya, Batwoman, Steel, Adam Strange, and any version of Booster Gold that could exist. Black Adam is the only one on the fence, as he could show up in Winnick's Shazam series.
We need Sand. And Sandman. And even Sandy the Golden Boy.
