X-men TA can offset mystics damage. Throw in Wolvie in a team to support Xavier and you've got a mini heal battery. Also Chuck doesn't have to shoot you, he can always use mind control to use your mystics figure against your mystics team.
x-men TA requires two x-men to be adjacent, so using wolverine as a healing battery, while effective, means leaving him in the starting area. huge waste of a little over a hundred points. also, he can't ALWAYS use a power that's only on the second half his dial with a horrid 9 AV.
the ideal way to use this guy, imo, is on a scientist them team. him, 3 researchers to form an enhancing wall around him in the starting area, and some fairly tough to kill scientists get the job done. personally, i like mole man carrying mm fodder with contingency plan to up prof's attack.
True, investing over 100 points to just heal Xavier is a waste, you can always use Elixir. :P There are many ways to use Chuck, personally I've found that having 3 Cuckoos to mind control or attack from while on the Hawkworld map is very effective. That said, he's an amazing piece, especially if you favor ranged combat.
Uh...How about Ghost Widow? True, you won't necessarily have a themed team, but you'll have easily the best and most cost effective medic in the game. She's also an excellent bodyguard.
aaahhhh, that makes more sense haha. i guess those guys are cute for such purposes. trevor's pretty crappy, tho, idk if i'd field him on the off-chance of going up against prof.
no. even if he could use the ally's 'senses', he doesn't share a keyword with csm, so there would be nothing to worry about there. you basically just treat the ally's square as the origin square for determining line of fire. nothing else is affected. for example, prof x isn't actually in his ally's square, so an enhancer adjacent to the ally will have no effect. but, an enhancer adjacent to prof x will be effective. also, while the ally is based, prof x can still take ranged combat actions against whoever he wants to from that ally's square, as long as he can get line of fire from an ally to the target. there are things about this which are busted as hell, but he's not completely game-breaking. note that he can't actually make normal ranged attacks through allies, he can only use his powers. so if you want to shoot someone that you can't PB (such as juggernaut), it won't work. in fact, he can pretty much never attack juggernaut while that helmet is still on, at least not through his trait. neat little flavor added by wizkids that i just realized haha.
