And we can all celebrate the fact that Clifford Olson, the Beast of BC died of cancer last week.
Cancer: finally good for something.
Another bag of scum who will surely rot for his sick crimes. Its a shame Canada has no death penalty because some people truly deserve it. In fact, American Serial Killer Charles Ng fled to Alberta to escape US authorities because he knew we didn't have the death penalty. Thankfully, he was stupid enough to not realize that we do have an extradition treaty with the US. It was a lengthy process, but eventually he was returned to the United States to stand trial, and is currently on Death Row in San Quentin.

Checking in. I feel left out though, cause I don't have any SK trivia to add. From what I've seen in deadwood, pigs are pretty good at getting rid of "evidence". How'd the guy get caught? Keeping trophies like jewelry or some shiznit?
I can see why Bernardo wouldn't be that prolific in the states, or anywhere else. He only actually killed a few people, his crimes more consist of the countless rapes he committed and unfortunately in these societies rape is not seen as serious (in terms of memorable).
I've grown up right near he committed all his crimes as well and know a lot about the story.
That would be why I typed out the coloured letter breakdowns and discussed Tattoo. Whenever you speak in absolutes like that DF, it worries me that you're trying to establish a cover for yourself and immediately place extra suspicion on others.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

I'm still not sure I understand the clues in the opening wite-up, but that's okay. I figure I won't have as many preconceived ideas about other players that way.

Where did you grow up?
The other shocking thing about Bernardo is that he and Karla Homolka video taped all their gruesome exploits, which unfortunately didn't come to light in time. They were concealed by Bernardo's lawyer and only surfaced after Homolka signed a deal giving her 10 years in exchange for testifying against Paul. Originally the authorities believed that Homolka was only an accessory in these crimes, but the tapes actually revealed that she played a much more prominent role. Had the tapes been seen first, there's no way a deal would have been made and Homolka would have been jailed for the rest of her life.

This sounds very familiar. My wife watches the (now) ID channel constantly for the forensics shows, serial killer profile shows, etc...and I think this may have been one of the cases.
