You can't, leadership says "...this character may remove an action token from an adjacent friendly character with a lower point value."
Read Thanos' special power rather than the standard PAC leadership. Thanos never has the standard PAC leadership, he has a special version that does indeed let him remove a token from himself.

Thanos' power only changes the adjacency part of leadership
It does not say "regardless of point value"
but it does say "any". I love the consistent wordings that Wizkids uses. It's so handy.
I might have to rip the sculpt off and mod a IIM Juggernaut into Thanos.

This Thanos can remove a token from himself though. I see what you mean by the inconsistent wording, but "any character" overrides the lower point requirement.
How is this power on Agent Coulson been ruled that it only changes the number of targets he affects with leadership, but yet they all must follow the standard rules of Leadership,
Agent Level 7: Agent Coulson can use Enhancement and Leadership. When he uses Leadership and succeeds, he may instead remove an action token from up to 2 friendly characters that share a keyword with him.
While several of you are claiming that the wording on Thanos' power allows him to circumvent point level altogether and ignore the standard rules of Leadership, despite having as much "clarity" as Coulson's power?
The Black Order Obeys: Thanos can use Leadership. When he does and succeeds, he may remove the action token from any character with the Black Order keyword anywhere on the map.
Neither power mentions point levels, yet Coulson is told he can't remove tokens from higher point characters and according to some of you, Thanos can go so far as to remove tokens from himself, despite the fact that you can only leadership tokens from lower point figures.

the difference is the word "any" in thanos' power and if memory serves me properly, wiz kids declared it to be so.
