Sure, a 12' range is asking for a Chopper/Charger/Dropper, but look at it this way. You just charged my 120 pt. mech. Watch as I break away and the rest of my amy cremates your now-exposed mech. 8 Dmg, vulnerable though it may be, cannot be ignored (Unlike the HL Uller) As for the MBT, well, think of it a a bigger, crappier version of the Po. Nobody said the (real) clans had well trained tankers.

haha lol have been collecting HL and SW since the dark age - I have Honestly believed that about every expansion. I can only hope the prospect of a HL templar is not cruelly taken from us.......

I don't think WK did a good job with this Panther stats. Let's remember the already released Panthers. This one can render useless almost any other light mech with one pulse salvo. The Phanter's main weapon is a PPC and I don't like the idea that a single PPC can do up to 8 clicks of damage, for such a low cost mech.
Besides, Jade Falcons seem to have:
SS or SH damage values
SH (may be DF) attack values
DF or Liao movement values
only in exchance for lower defenses???????? Really not fair.
I only hope that older factions don't get useless against newer ones........
I'm a Swordsworn player and I find irritating that another faction can deliver more damage than SS, with all the benefits JF already have.

Actually, there was a poll on realms that asked which faction people were going to play for faction wars. I know the people who voted on realms was only a fraction of the people who actually played in Faction Wars but that's how the government gets their numbers for statistics like that, poll a fration and apply it to the majority. Also the fact that if a greater number of players were playing dragon's fury, then dragon's fury would have a greater chance of winning, which they did, backs me up alittle on that too.
Of course, you don't consider that some of those folks, all they wanted was Drexel.

uh what
Any of the Balacs can knock the JF Panther our of its "oh-so-good" Pulse clicks before the 'Mech gets a single shot off. In fact, almost any VTOL can do that.
And then there's tankdrop.
Personally, I wouldn't even bother charging this thing, the damage taken wouldn't be necessary..
When the clans showed up though they were, how do I put this..... SUPERIOUR to the I.S. The clans are for short fast strikes. Look at these units, they would not be too good in longer battles. The Panther loses its pulse early and it has low life and low defense. For the Kinnol MBT though, the Jade Falcons NEVER used tanks, so if you want to play fluff pure then your armys consist of artillery, VTOLs, Elementals and Mechs. When I play Jade Falcons I will use one artillery, one VTOL, a bad-### mech and Elementals.
It's been very interesting to read the different views about the new figures/stats that have been released for Clan Jade Falcon. There are obviously strong opinions about the units. I'd like to add my 2 cents. :) First, let me say that I've played both Classic BattleTech and MechWarrior Dark Age and enjoy both. In my humble opinion, the units released so far for CJF fit the clan's m.o.: they will hurt you. In CBT Falcon units tend to have massive weapon loadouts, maintain decent speed, good attack values, but lack slightly in the defense department. Except for the new tank, that seems to fit.
That being said, I believe (I know people will want to slap me for this) almost any unit in the current game is somehow playable at some level. Being a Clan Jade Falcon fan myself from the past I'm a bit disappointed with the new units because, and only because I am a Spirit Cats player because that's what works for my personal playstyle. I've also had the privilege of slapping Trolovic around in a tournament with my Cats. (hehe)
I would just like to say to players that when they finally get the units from the new set in their hand to at least give them a try(even if it's only a casual game at home with a friend), you may be surprised at what you find.
