1. MoE/Kree/Bhood/Avengers reservist Big Deck
2. Heralds/Inhumans/Revenge Squad/Superman cosmic Big Deck (haven't changed to Legionaires yet, Bizarro World takes away the big appeal of RS)
3. Checkmate/Hellfire/AntiMatter/Kang concealed Big Deck
4. F4/Society/Gotham/Checkmate equipment/combo Big Deck
X-Statix/Hellfire/VU/Doom "One guy" Big Deck is by far the most fun deck, as you can play Fight to the Finish.
AGL
the ROCK Deck
Glock with Captain Marvel win condition
Avengers Team Attack
These decks are fun to play and have won some tournies for me.
Of the succesful decks I've played the following were no fun to play.
Glock pre Captain Marvel AWC. During the modern format, the mirror sucked sooo much.
Teen Titains.
Anything with Child Lock. Effective but not realy fun to play.
Voltage. Fun to play at the beginning, but feels like a crutch now.
I'm a comic book fan primarirly so what I tend to play around my hobby league are teams that i Know mostly. Some of my favourites are
An X-mental/recovery deck to represent the fact those x-men, esp jean, never stay dead. Has a few toolbox characters and stuff in there too for variety. And Wolverine just cause I couldn't leave him out.
Spidey/Morlocks evasion- What you're attacking me? Flip spidey senses, evade a few guys, backs to the wall, then turn stuff down cause of Midtown high. And bloodhound actually gives spidey friends some search.
Infinite Doom. Like on metagame, a doom deck just featuring the man himself. Has now morphed into a D&D deck with half the deck Dr Doom and half Darkseid with infinite crisis to make them non unique.
Justice League of Evil Mutants- JLA and Brotherhood with a whole butt load of power up effects, lost city and lots of ally effects.
Secret Society burn deck- Just try to make you lose all your cards with four overpowereds in there for good measure and some manhunter stuff.
I can't help but love playing OCD (OMAC City Deck). The deck only uses three characters - Destiny, Ahmed Samsarra and Elimination Protocol and it is a constant delight watching my opponents continuously underestimate just how big a robot can get in the lost city :)
