For the longest time, this was my definitive Daredevil, the right costume and the right powers/stats, the pose is a total bonus:
Then they released this one; same as above but what a great dial!
Strong pose, playable dial and so simple yet so accurate
Soon after we got this one, he's cheaper, got a longer dial. Now really, this one is the definitive version, a longer dial and built to move like he's in a corridor or a stairwell vs 50 ninjas:
but I still have the Empyre one because he kicks off with range and has 2 dials to give me build alternatives.
This is the perfect Hex. Perfect Sculpt, Perfect Dial, and even for his points hes not that creeped out.
Running Shot/Sidestep and Shape Change attack power helps him stay above water with his 6 range and traited Precision with 2 arrows means that everyone can get a taste.
If they would Legacy him today Theyd only drop maybe 25 points off him and give him the Marksman keyword and the Quickdraw trait.
I've always been one for 'my' definitive version. This is pretty much in anything.
As a kid, I'd only really want regular TMNT figures, wasn't bothered by dressed as a chef Leonardo etc etc.... same with comics.
Therefore, one pre-requisite is the look of the character. There are some that I don't mind, or perhaps a certain source or story, like Old Man Logan.
The next pre-requisite: powers. If there's a Rogue figure and she hasn't got her mutant power represented.... is it really Rogue at all? Mystique without Shape Change or looking like someone else kinda power....
That said, I have loads of Batman but only the ones that I think bring something to the table.
Lastly, my collection size. By having the above, it helps me limit my collection. "What's that Skippy? There's a more definitive version of Robin out? Time to trade up!"
And so closes the preamble.
You and I think exactly the same way for this game (and Ninja Turtle figures). I prefer to just have 1 version of each figure.
I currently have pretty much all the current scale "Rogue" figures though because none of them really fit the bill for me.
The closest is probably House of X, but the sculpt is ugly and she's quite a few sets behind.
The XoS Rare A version is probably the most playable, but she has no power copy, so it doesn't feel legit.
The XoS OP is close, but she's alas just kind of...boring with no power change up, no steal energy, and a really limited power steal option (more limited than MYSTIQUE in DWX, who...can't actually copy powers...).
None of them come close to the 2019 OP Kit version, she was definitive until power creep (and scale creep) rotated her out.
Also I'll toss out this guy:
But I just got this fella also and I'm very content with him being my Master of Magnet for the time being:
My Rogue is this one, she hits nearly all the notes. My 1 small gripe is the lack of range... as in she can't 'borrow' Cyclops power:
I do have the Animated set line-up too.
Ah, the Magneto. GSX getting a Legacy is fantastic and that new one is also good. I'm a Magneto fan, so he qualifies for more than 1.
Okay, I'll throw in this Punisher... costume, guns, powers, playable, all check check check check. I also like his video game-esque collect ammo from downed enemies:

He is probably the best that we have, but I'm not sure that he's defintive, as he doesn't have any long-range/sniper capabilities. I kind of feel like he should start with that, and then when his cover is blown, he goes in guns blazing.
I feel that a definitive dial is one that both let’s me know the character’s power set, and tells the character’s story. For me, this is the definition of definitive dial.
This dial beautifully portrays Judge Death’s powers, and first comic appearances:
He Steathily sneaks around judging people for the crime of life. Clix 1 & 7.
Battles the judges. Clix 2-4 & 8-10.
When they destroy his body, his spirit lives on. Clix 5-6 & 11.
His spirit then inhabits a new host body, and the cycle begins anew. Clix 7.
Regeneration is there at the end to remind us that “You can’t kill what doessss not live”. (Also, back then Regen could get you 4 clix of life back. So, he could Regen back to 7 and start his new “life” all over.)
He is probably the best that we have, but I'm not sure that he's defintive, as he doesn't have any long-range/sniper capabilities. I kind of feel like he should start with that, and then when his cover is blown, he goes in guns blazing.
Like this?
Probably not “definitive” with those combat values, but power set… yup.
Snipe the bad guy, blow up the bad guys, and then pummel the bad guys. Pretty much every Punisher comic I’ve ever read.
Also, in my opinion, best Punisher sculpt in the game.

I mean, yeah for the longest time that is THE punisher....at least until we got the swap ones in Hulk. Cuz after him we only got the Chaingun one which is fun but gimmicked.
Seeing all these great old dials makes me wish we could get something more than Legacy Cards.
Just keeping the same dials but making some slight changes (Better stats, and B/C/F instead of Incap for that Frank Castle. // Invulnerability and picking up range for OP Kit Rogue.) So on so forth. So many old clix that still feel definitive, just need modernizing beyond just Legacy Card point drops and special power changes.
They made a Wolverine that homage'd the original Infinity Challenge figures (with auto regen) in Deadpool and X-Force and a Joker that called out the original Hypertime version with Armor Piercing in Harley Quinn and the Gotham Girls..but then they promptly stopped doing that. Here's hoping they try it again.
Anywho, when Wizkids brought TMNT into the clix world, I was so thrilled, and these four were done so well that honestly I never needed any other set of turtles.
That being said, they are in need of a 'sculpt size' upgrade, so hear me out Wizkids: You could literally just size up these sculpts and this guy's (another perfectly done figure)
Put new but similar dials on them, make a nice 'rooftop' fight box display, call it it an Iconix TMNT #1, and I'd throw money at you despite how lazy an effort it was.
Maybe the best Superman ever before they changed the Hypersonic speed power.
Maybe the best Superman dial ever designed. I never lost a game with him on my teams. Just something special about the dial design.
Finally the return of top dial Hypersonic Speed on Superman. Thank you God for letting me pull him in my Case. Now my favorite Superman sculpt. Glad he is in his classic costume as well.
They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far." Robert Downey/Tony Stark
