Archfiend of Gilfer won't see any restrictions

the rumor got started when you go to metagame.com and in their search function type in Archfiend and Archfiend of Gilfer was one of the results and it's card number was SJ-EN003, well i believe it's taken down now

who here wouldn't mind seeing a corrected Beast of Talwar AKA Archfiend of Talwar..lol or perhaps Lesser Archfiend on all of the errata'd archfiends form the past sets

And it all manages to benefit Dark Necrofear. (Or Chaos Necromancer, heh)

I can predict some "Forced Requistion Fiend Control" decks in the near future!

Do you know just how deadly Raigeki Break will be for us now? Yeah, it's good in EVERY deck, but in OURS, it's effect will read:

"Discard 1 card from your hand to destroy 1 card on the field and reduce 1 monster's attack by 500"

Graceful Charity, Card Destruction (as demonstrated by Yugi against the Umbra & Lumis), Magic Jammer, Cost Down, Mirage of Nightmares, Dragged Down to the Grave, Spell Vanishing, Dark COra, Tribute to the Doomed, etc.

ALL of these cards have become SO playabl;e in our decks. Night Assailant and now Archfiend of Gilfer? I mean, activating "Delinquent Duo" against a Fiendish Duelist can, in theory, be the cause of your own destruction.

I like Archfiend of Gilfer's wording, which allows him to activate his effect no matter HOW he hits the graveyard. This means that this tribute monster CAN be destroyed by JInzo for example, reduce his attack to 1900.

This guy is a GREAT weapon for us and I'd like to hear everyone's opinions on it.

My opinion on it, I think that they were trying to make a sorta Archfiend version of Necrofear. And it isn't that bad since there are so many ways to get it to work, much more ways to get his effect off. But now it'll be hard to decide what to make my deck, and I'm not sure if my side deck can fit it all. I mean, my final deck list isn't done yet, and now I'm thinking about how I'm going to use Mazerra, or focuse on Lesser Archfiend (might as well add on the four letters), or go for extreme power with Skull Archfiend being my lead, or just concentrate on Terroking control, and now there's also Equip power? And you know what I just realized? You can use Gilford as a way to get out Falling Down also, and then tribute the monster for whatever tribute Archfiend so you can just destroy whatever Gilford was equiped to!!! So many possibilities....

Mmmm...New Archfiends! I like the sound of this guy. 500 doesnt sound like that much at first, but if the card text truly means "when this card is sent to the graveyard" then he will be an extremely versatile addition to the Archfiend family. I'm not convinced I want to deck one myself though, but I will be getting one in case I think of a truly killer combo with this guy. Can't wait to see if you guys are right on new Archfiends besides this guy though. Killer! :devious:

I would love to see the Archfiend Talwar. I am a major talwar player. I love that card he is by far my favorite monster. If you see his name in any other forum just about you will see me as TalWar. LOL

now i understand that the release date of gilfer is just a rumor, but is the effect a rumor or has it been confirmed???

Dark Master Zorc- A card worth playing for most beatdown or archfiend decks?
It has an awesome dice roll effect, and seems to have well balanced stats, is it worth using?

I use [2] Dark Master Zorc, ans I'd say it's worth running. I rarely got a 6 with teh die roll. Can someone answer this? Should I run [3] Dark Mimic LV3 or [3] Giant Germs in mah Fiend deck?

Depends are you running Archfiends or just regular old fiends. Giant Germs fit the second category very well, although i dont think Mimic lvl3 is all that great outside an exodia deck.

@Envoy: the effect I posted was taken off Edo's page and is a direct translation of Gilfar Demon from the Yugi Structure Deck 1. So unless Upperdeck change it (or add the cool dice roll thing that most Archfiends have) then it should stay like that for the english translation.
