My opinion is that using existing cards as game promos is fine - but why not some better cards? They don't have to all be SR or VR, just cards that most people use. That way, players will want the variants in their deck, simply for the cool factor.

I guess I'll have to call myself a collector now (since I have at least 1 of every released promo so far), but other than collecting, I see little else to draw people to these promos. At least if they were 'power' cards, alot of people would want them for their decks.

Oh, scratch that. I am missing 1 promo (but NOT the NYC Ucarn - I have that). Any way, my point still stands.

lets see some suggestions then. bronze-arm is one of the most used cards in this game thus far. i agree that night master and sonic wing were rather pathetic choices. rothus and brain serum are also used often in their respective decks.

i think if they change the light card to holoy awe and the night dude to terror pit then it will be much better and change brain serum to spiral gate then i might consider on buying it

Yes, Bronze-Arm is a basic building block for the Beast Folk decks (as well as other Nature decks). Rothus is not as common in Fire decks, though many do use him. But, come on. he's been overdone - don't you think? Maybe Braid Claw? Brain Serum has been in and out of my decks, but I usually end up putting him back because it's a Shield Trigger. So, yeah, he's a staple.

So, I'm left agreeing with Sunman222 - those cards aren't all that bad of a choice for rehashing existing cards. I'll also go along with dukesd's additions of Terror Pit and Holy Awe - both staples of their respective civs.

would have been nice if they were cards from set 3, like foil preview cards. they could have been commons for all we cared, just for the fac tthat they are previews.

I won't even bother picking up the game since it has such an extreme bad review. I was hoping perhaps a minor chance in the world I could have won but that has past :p so tough luck there. I prob will only pick up that Rothus from a trade if possible since if I remember correctly Stone you said it features alt art?

Yes, the Rothus has alternate art. It's the only one of these that does.

Does it happen to be better or worse than the original, in your opinion Stone or anyone that has picked up the game for that matter.

ohh ANOTHER rothus i said, i can use that. Brain serum..an uncommon promo? i can use it for my blue deck... Bronze Arm... my heart jumped at the badness of promo. a common? then another. i hope the black is good, i say. O_O! it aweful! i felt so bad, the games not all g\that great eaither >=/
the only alt part of the art is it has fire from its cannosn, otherwise the samE PICTURE

ContagionX - As imperial has stated, the only difference is fire shooting from his cannons.

Remember, these cards are NOT the same as the holo-foils we're used to. They use a different process that is almost unnoticable in dim, inside lighting situations. But they do look cool outside in sunlight!

i have 3 japanese promo's :1 dark,1 light and 1 water.they have gold writing and arnt out yet.they came in a pencil case that was in a japanese mag that i got from chinatown ages ago.

I think the same as most to regard the promos but has any one looked at the numbering of the cards there A1-A5/Y1 maybe there will be better promos in later versions of the game or maybe this is numbering for all the future games I'm not sure i remember when the grist yugioh game came out i got exodia , blue eyes and dark magician. my bro got it a while later and got 3 other promos

meh, too bad, that certainly cancels me buying it. <_< only wanted teh cards anyway, the game is the gimmick. <_< (overused?) i suppose i just wont buy the #### game then <_<
