Yep. They had one and got another one, giving them a male and a female. Then despite their efforts to keep the birds from reproducing, the pair had offspring--twice. (Life always finds a way.) So now they're up to 4, which should pretty much qualfiy as a flock at this point.

You've piqued my interest, so I did some searching and there appears to be no numerical definition.
It looks as though it's a behavioral thing. If they gather in a group for safety and food and stuff, they qualify as a flock. I'm thinking they qualify.
Even if they don't, were I you, I'd totally be using the term flock for my own entertainment.
Just finished reading Carmilla, an early vampire novel. It was very similar to the later Dracula, but much lighter and faster to read through. A good tale, although the ending felt rather abrupt.
Now, do I stick with gothic horror and read Frankenstein next, or go for something more otherwordly and resume where I left off in The Complete Works of H.P. Lovecraft?
Also, in a "duh" moment, it just occurred to me tonight that the ruling family of the vampire counts in Warhammer Fantasy, the von Carsteins, were probably named after the Karstein family from Carmilla. That's not as bad as how long it took me to realize that Imhotekh the Stormlord from Warhammer Fantasy was obviously supposed to be Imhotep from The Mummy, but I still probably should have realized that sooner....

Probably go with Frankenstein, stay in the time period.
"When they come to take control every Ogre must play his role"
I found it dull. maybe it was more scandalous back in the day.
Well after that glowing review, I will probably skip it.
I should finish Lexicon tonight. Without knowing how the last 50 pages turn out I am pretty pleased by it so far and would recommend it to anyone who likes scifi-ish books with a litte bit of dystopia thrown in.
I will not follow this book with Machine Man also by Max Barry but will fit it in somewhere this spring.
Is there a lot of hot Girl/Girl action in Carmilla?
It's all hinted at rather than described explicitly, which isn't surprising considering when it was written. It's my understanding that most of the movie adaptations are considerably less shy, though.

I liked it, quite a bit actually. I was pretty sure I knew where the end was going but still enjoyed it.
