¢ When I was young, my ambition was to be one of the people who made a difference in this world. My hope still is to leave the world a little better for having been there - Jim Henson
I actually liked both X-Men: First Class and Green Lantern.
Also.

Not here. I didn't weigh in on it before, but I'd say it falls into the category of rudeness.
In APA circles the closest things we had to this were RAEBNC (Read and enjoyed, but no comment) and the rarely seen RBNC (Read, but no comment.) Both were intended to acknowledge the input from contributors while not adding to them.
At best I can accept TL;DR (during a particularly ego-stripped moment) as something to tell someone "This didn't interest me enough to read it in any detail" or even "Topic not welcomed here by me." What it's more likely to tell me is that the person may have ADD or is simply being dismissive. I suppose the question is whether or not it's better than simply letting it pass without comment -- and I see the answer as No.

Agreed on Dinosaurs, ambivalent on Strangers - which I watched off and on for part of its run but can't say I've even thought about in a long time. Still, it's better to have something around as an option than not.

Does anyone else think that the NECA/HCO debacle is such an utter, colossal failure that its actually really amusing? I, for one, am quite entertained.

Things have been busy since I last posted yesterday. Is everyone pumped up for Diamondback!?! No? Eh, maybe she'll provide another fairly cheap, yet effective dial for us to play.
EDIT: I just saw her dial and sculpt posted. Pretty blah on both accounts.
Regarding the HCO mess, I haven't kept up with how things are going. I'm really not interested in HCO so I just passively listen to what others have been saying. Things are falling apart on it?

I have a mac and don't feel like looking into what I need to do to make it work. So I haven't really been paying all that much attention. When I asked about mac compatibility eventually I got "not in the foreseeable future" or something along those lines. That only added to my disinterest.

I for hope that it does end up working well. I would even play it buggy if they would only add some freakin' DC characters. If they added DC75 to the game, and the option to choose the BN starter instead of FF, I would jump at it. Right now, the only thing keeping me off of it is the character selection.

Well, last night there was an article put up about how much it would cost. Apparently a HoT brick will cost 2390 Clixbucks. 100 Clixbucks is 5 real dollars. So to buy a brick of HoT on HCO, you'd be paying $119.50 real dollars, which is exactly what an actual brick costs. Basically, all the HCO prices for packs and bricks are the exact same as what real bricks and packs are. Needless to say, the people who were really psyched for HCO and paid their $1.95 to beta test it (paying to beta test is already asinine) are quite upset. No one, and I literally mean no one, is willing to pay the exact same price for virtual pixels of figures as they would for physical, tangible figures.
I didn't sign up for HCO for this exact reason-I knew someday they would start trying to charge people to play it. So while this isn't a big surprise, the fact that they're actually charging people to not only beta test it, but to buy packs and bricks floors me. And the fact that they're charging the same for HCO as for regular HC...I'm speechless.

I guess you guys didn't see my above post. You should read it, or better yet, read the article. I'll provide a link. Stupidity like this needs to be shared.

I had seen people mentioning licensing issues may be a problem. DC and Marvel haven't been known for playing nice together lately.

Doesn't Magic the gathering online boosters cost the same as physical ones? There is some way to swap digital for physical cards somehow. I thought I had read someone saying this. I highly doubt this could or would be done with heroclix but it would make a big difference.
Paying full retail for the digital versions does seem out of line. I have plenty of other video and computer games I can play.
Holy cow! That's a lot to charge for ... whatever this is. I mean, it's an online game and they are charging nearly the price of the real deal. Do they think that will really work? Maybe it will, there are lots of individuals out there willing to drop ridiculous amounts of cash on video gaming.
