Unfortunately there are shipping issues, though I doubt those issues would affect the cards. I ordered my case many, many months ago, and my store still does mot have it. Nor does any other store in my area, that normally would. Diamond is not shipping the set out until next week. Does anyone know why this is? I do not. It is a first for me.
That's not a shipping issue, that's a "Diamond screwed something up" issue. Or possibly Alliance. The product may go to Alliance first (because of the exclusive distribution deal), and then they have to send it to the Diamond warehouses. Not sure how it works, but it would make sense given that Alliance didn't have issues but diamond had to bump it back a week. Its an odd situation.

Does not matter what company it is..
Product was not shipped (to some locations) for release day. If that is not a shipping issue, I do not know what is...
It's an unconventional dial choice, I agree. It feels more like an LE-type of dial- like the Con LE (sketch variant) Shredder, it seems to be based on a single, specific episode of the 1980s cartoon (Splinter No More, in this case). I guess they felt they'd already covered the base of a straightforward Splinter dial with the Uncommon from Series 1? I can see why they made the choice, but with 80's Splinter being so iconic I'm surprised they didn't give him a more generalist dial. Ah well, there's sure to be another one in Series Three...
Maybe it's the same version of splinter they used on the Special Turtle Token. The artist caught him sleeping.

There were announced shipping issues though. I don't know that it affected the handling of the packages in any way, but it was a thought as it could mean the other packages went through a different company than normal and were more roughly handled as a result. Just speculation, nothing that matters.
Sealed case netted me 2 SRs, 1 chase. But I got a dupe Alopex and am only missing 2 rares (Splinter and Donnie). 2 SRs per case would be nice, but I'm only missing 5 pieces out of the whole set I want (not chasing these chases) so I can't really complain.

Down to needing 5 figures for a complete set. Gotta get SR Raph and Mikey, and need 3 of the four chases, having Graviturtle (not the one I would have hoped for first).
Here in the Charlotte,NC Area The local stores did not receive the product until thursday. I picked up 5CTDs Today pulled 5 SRs and 3 chases,i must say this set has been generous in terms of getting extra Foot soldiers/Triceraton Than the previous set. After all that was said and done I'm only missing Graviturtle,Slash, and SR mikey.

5 CTDs and still no Slash? Ouch, I'm sorry, I hate hearing that! Nice job on the chases though!
I still don't have my case, thank you Diamond! But did find a store that got some in today so I bought a few packs. You guys were not kidding about the cards, yikes! I did pull a Renet with both arms attached, though I see how easy it could snap off. That arm is pressed right up against the packaging. One good squeeze or drop and that arm will snap right off.. So I wouldn't go squeezing any packs..
I hate getting my case late, but it eases my mind a bit hearing that a case will get you within around 7 figures short of a complete set, with an almost full CUR.
One case and one questionable purchase* later and I'm down to only needing two chases and SR Raph.
*It was a good price technically, so I got a good deal, IF prices never ever drop. Which they will, probably sooner than I'd like after such a purchase.
Not trying to sound braggadocious, but this set treated me so well. Way better than set 1, which I must have bought over three CTD's worth of figures and never got a chase from.
I bought one case and pulled SR Mikey, SR Armaggon, SR Renet, and chase Griddex, 2x R Donnie, and R Leo.
Only pieces I wanted and did not pull were SR Raphael, Alopex, Splinter, and Rat King.
My love for IDW turtles and my satisfying pulls make me rank this set slightly higher than set 1 in terms of enjoyment.
Great job WizKid! Here's hoping TMNT set 3 is half as good as set 2.
Make Old Hob and Koya and I'll be an even happier man.
