Wow. I stopped playing HC years ago, but I've been a member of this site since near it's inception and I still use it daily. It's one of the best all-around geek communities out there.

I hope that, regardless of the fate of HeroClix, HCRealms continues to thrive.

Wow this sucks a lot. This also makes me wonder about the World Champs prize. Seems unredeemable atm.

Hopefully then they say they're trying to find a home for the games, they mean they're trying to finalize something with somebody.

This is bad news not just for the players but the employees.

I've seen a lot of calls for WotC to pick it up but I think that's a horrible idea.

I guess, if the game really dies, it'll answer the question about how much time and $$ to invest in WoW minis.

All I'm gonna say is, there's a reason that company's stock has looked like a flatlining medical patient's pulse for the last 10 years. Something about 'couldn't manage' and 'taco truck' comes to mind.

I want to be clear; this is not about anyone at WizKids whatsoever. But if you look high enough up the ladder, the air gets pretty thin up there.

In the spirit of keeping things civil, that's all I'm gonna say about it. I would very much like to put together a series on my blog or something though, because I have a lot more to say in a less emotional and more official capacity.

Quite the bombshell to be hit with following a late lunch.

The icv2 announcement was how the press release hit me first, and upon trying to get to HCR the server was obviously being overwhelmed. And we've all seen how Wizkids' forum platform now refuses to launch.

I'd love to find out in the near future how far up the chain the B.S. was packed and/or how sudden this decision actually was. The lease on the new HQ? Plans for 2009? Etc., etc.

I'm offering $5 for the 2 chase Superman, chase Sue Richards, and both chase Batmen COMBINED!

...and not a penny more!
