as for the Superman Robot...the saturday game at a different venue is doing a booster draft....since the Superman Robots are "Chase pieces" they are excluded from being drafter. Whoever bought and cracked the booster gets the robot, and can't play it in the booster draft s they get the robot and first crack at the rest of the booster.

NEW HEROCLIX MOTTO: Nothing Solves problems in Heroclix like Superman and a Dumpster.
that all said what would be your 500 pts dream team?
Superboy, Steel, Eradicator, and Cyborg Superman (along with a negative 30 point character)
I have yet to find the -30 point character in any set...
[edit: even though I don't really want their heroclix, Ursa, Non, and Zod would be a kick butt team to play. If you pull a kryptonite, you could run that with.]
May be true, and written, but at the venue level, whatever way they chose is standard. WK as stated many times that venues play by their own rules. It is good to know the "official" stance, though.
I consistently run sealed events at the 400 point level. It allows players the opportunity to use more of what they pull. Nothing is incorrect at that level of play.
I quoted the back-and-forth to grasp the reason why absolutvt69 said what he did. If your above was really the way you feel, and there is no issue, why are you making a big deal?
Not only do you mention it numerous times, but you even capitalized "SHOULD" to further make your point.
I am agreeing with you. I said that venues are free to do whatever they choose. And I don't care.
I am not the one making any big deal. I simply voiced my opinion and he responded in a defensive gf-style way. Not my problem. For me, personally, it SHOULD (yes to emphasize opinion) be played that way. I'm not saying you have to. But you should.
"Fantasy Football is not about having fun. It's about proving your better than your friends."
Well, I've done the calculations and made my decision about how we'll be running our Sealed Premier event for Superman on Friday. Superman's average point cost is 120 (actually 119 and change). With so few pieces in this set that are below 50 points, I decided to increase the point level of our tournament to 400 points, 4 actions instead of the traditional 300 points, 3 actions.
Sure that means that Darkseid will have Mastermind fodder but at least people will get to play multiple heavy hitters on their teams.
What are other people running for their sealed events?
My standard sealed format is 2 boosters / 375 points.
I am considering going 3 boosters - choose 1 booster each round and play whatever is in it (3 rounds). The points are insane and the first sealed is the first chance to use new figures.
Doesn't make any sense to tell someone to buy between 10 and 11 figures and then only allow them to use 2-3, tops (sitting 7-8).
300 has been dead for years. Only nostalgia keeps it around.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
