Just a quick note, I was talking to my lgs owners today, and while their store is listed as a host for this event, they knew nothing about it.
If your store is listed, but generally doesn't hold these sorts of things, you may want to inform them that UDE has them on their website as a host for this.

I'm guessing your local store routinely runs HL, correct?
Is this not the HL event for the end of June?
Presumably they'd find out all the necessary details when their kit arrived....
I'm not actually positive about these things, so please feel free to correct me.

Or... you could ask them to start holding these events. Heh.
So....The Venom jumps out as a Syndicate build, The Spider-Man jumps out as stall....Is there any other decks that anyone has come up with?
This worked decently as a Hulk deck and I'm considering it as a Mephisto deck to keep the useful low drop backups around

Actually, we haven't had a hobby league running there since the whole snafu with UDE not sending kits that were ordered.

I know nothing of a janktastic JLA wall of will deck ..whistles quietly to himself in the corner....
The hidden area is safer in this set than ever before in the history of the hidden area as I see it. There is nothing generic enough to drag the cheeseheads out, and the few things that can send people after them are specific affiliations. This has made a strong underworld argument so far. It is also what fuels my Spider-friends deck right now. 1-4 are all concealed, and by locking down characters so they can't swing next time, it is pretty slick.
Goblin is super strong in a deck that wants to skip running 1 drops altogether. Or that wants to abuse the syndicate location a lot. And, not all decks can afford to set that extra resource turn 1, since they might not have enough resource type cards to put out.
ego gem is a great call, and I"m loving the Underworld with Doc Ock for the super card draw. I've played it a little more, and it really is a lot of fun. Not as strong with my current configuration as that damn spider nonsense, but it is on the right track I think. Maybe the inclusion of that other 4 drop that automatically prevents characters from k.o.ing? Him and say that plot twist that discards a card and revovers somebody. Yeah, that sounds pretty good to me.
I don't know why, but I have never liked sticky threads. I guess it always seems like they didn't earn their place at the top or something. Maybe it's because they don't have the same sense of "movement" that the common man has. Anyway, I started another thread about what the community feels regarding Ego invading mainstream Vs.
As for the individual cards, I adore the Venom art and it makes the game much simpler to play, which I always like. Venom I choose you.
I know only one thing for sure. Playing Ego Gem in the Ego format is excessive and exciting. I am ecstatic.
The Venom art is from the card Suffocation in MTU.
Indeed, and it is without question the best Venom painting that Vs. System has. Whoever chose to use Alex Horley's plot twist art instead of one of the character cards deserves a medal.

Oddly enough, while the intention of sticky threads is great, it usually leads to me being less likely to follow the newest updates on a given (stickied) topic.
I check my user cp, then check the forums and look for a thread that's seen movement (ie. one nearer to the top since I last looked), but neglect to check all the stickied threads because ,although they also move up their own little list, it's not nearly as apparent....
I'm sure I could and will try to curb my habits, but I'm guessing I'm not the only realmer who quickly forgets about the stickied threads....
