those of you on my facebook may've seen the post with a mention of a fellow clixer who passed away yesterday. I just found out today...his mom came in the comic shop to tell the owner, who then called me.

It's a real bummer. Billy hasn't played clix regularly for 2 or 3 years, but for the first few years I played, he was one of my favorite opponents. He was a very big black kid with a bigger heart, very intelligent, and a comic geek along with being a clixer. Since he was into Boy Scouting (he was an Eagle Scout) and had a job as soon as he got out of high school, we didn't see him as much as we'd have liked. But anyway, he was warmly received when he did stop in, and I just talked to his mom last week at the post office, and told her to tell him to stop by.

I kinda wish those of us who talked about getting him back into the game would have been more persistent in doing so. I'm not sure what demons he was fighting, but they evidently caused him to make a very bad decision. Bummer deal.

There is another (Yet Another) X-Wing Miniatures Squad Builder

I do not like it as well but you can build a list and then get a URL for it.

Here is a Star Wars Armada fleet builder. It is the only one I can currently find. I hope it gets improved or a better one gets built. The trick is to chose a quantity then 'refine' for each ship. Bad, but all we have at the moment.

Have you played Armada? What do you think about it? I'm worried it might actually be better then X-Wing...

I have played it 4 or 5 times. It really needs Wave 1. I have 1 of each of wave 1 ordered after playing so far. I do like it but the pace is a bit slow for me so far. I will play it, but do not think it will replace X-Wing as my go to game right now.


In a session after work I can play 3 games of X-Wing or 1 of Armada.

It's so boring in here. You'd thing there was still 600 posts to the end and not less than 60!

It also prevents me from building illegal teams. . Not my Kath team but the rebel team I had wasn't right (forgot that adding a crew to the B-Wing meant no munitions failsafe). Glad I had the time to play with that builder before fielding the team.

Yeah, it's dragging.
