You guys are listing all these horrible nasty things (and rightfully so) and I see it as just as disgusting when I see someone put ketchup on a hot dog.
Or worse yet, breaded chicken.
LISTEN UP CRETINS OF EARTH: JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING IS BREADED AND FRIED DOES NOT MEAN KETCHUP SHOULD GO ON IT!
Thanks for calling me a cretin

Many Ogres are misusing the word "gross". Unless your ordering from the Oriental Trading catalog or buying fireworks or calling a specific kind of penalty on a hockey player, you're doing it wrong.
This has been your HavenMoment for today.
Oh Haven... Go lick a toad.

I reckon they'll sell better than Smurfsclix.

Scramble 1 egg. Place in the bottom of a cereal bowl. Fill remainder of bowl with ketchup. Eat.
Grossest thing I have ever seen, and I have seen some pretty gross things being consumed. I always have to ask her what the point of the egg is since the bowl is over 75% ketchup.
On the bright side it gave me a great wedding present for her since her husband also loved ketchup. I just bought them both a full case of restaurant sized bottles (32 - 128 oz bottles).
Okay. this is my breaking point. Even I think too much Ketchup is gross.

I'm mostly in agreement. I want TONS of properties in Clix that I will most likely never see.
But I support the Highlander rule to a large extent.
I'm not telling you what you can and can't do with something you bought.
I'm telling you what you can and can't do with something you bought if you want me to continue playing a game with you.
No, you're telling me what you can and can't do with something I bought if I want you to continue playing with me because you think your way is 'superior' to my way. And it really isn't (but I'm not saying mine is superior, either).

Hey now, Kirk is my hero. Who else do you know who can bag that many women on so many planets?
David Tennant, maybe.

Thank you.
I've said before, saying that you should be able to ignore modern age is similar (no, it's NOT exactly the same, I never said it was, bite me) to saying that you should be able to ignore point totals because you paid for your 'Clix. Both are restrictions designed to create a certain gameplay experience. Both are, I guess, ignorable if everyone you play with is cool with that.

OK, I get it. For me, food is food, but I can respect that it is art to some.
Its more than art to me. It is an identity.
For centuries people have passed cooking methods and recipes to the next generation as a way to preserve who they are and to give their people an identity. It binds them together. It is the foundation of most societies. To get to truly know a peoples you must get to know their food.
Then American restaurants have the gual to serve guano on a plate and call it by an ethnic name, thus insulting the original people's identities.
Why? Because Street Fighter is Modern Age legal? All that says to me is they want to be able to have some kind of 'officialness' to their telling people they can't play what they buy at their venue. To be honest, that doesn't sound like anywhere I'd want to play, anyway.
Plus, the whole construct of 'Modern Age' is merely for the Worlds tournament (something the 'gripers' don't generally have any stake in) and future development purposes anyway. It has no power, no basis in everyday HeroClix playing.
This goes right back to no-dupes rules for me. Somebody trying to tell me what I can and can't do with something I paid for.
Right. And if someone wants to tell me that their/WKs "right" to cram whatever superfluous crap that'll fit on a grid into one game supersedes my desire to play the game/overall theme I started playing ten years ago, cool. I'll say #*$% it, stop buying/playing, and they can keep the watered-down version of what was once, to me, a pretty unique and damned fun game.
And no, cramming ship-to-ship combat into this game, as some would like to do, is not my idea of a good time.
