If it's Day 1 and I am town, I'd rather be mislynched myself than allow a no lynch.
Day 1 lynches are very rare here. Most roles are powered and most players would prefer to not roll the dice on a random lynch that early. I'd prefer more early pressure and discussion early on as it does let people get a bit of a read on one another and not go blind into night 1, but I seem to be in a minority on that one. It doesn't help that the active players who make things happen during the day frequently get killed at night too... it gets boring after a while. Then again, the silent guys sometimes get lynched if there's no better candidate...
The dynamic of this game amused me, specifically the ideological split between the noobs and the HCR veterans. Sloonei and I were fully focused on behavioral assessment, and most others used their posts to talk about night actions. Obviously in a power role-heavy closed setup like this one, night actions are an important variable so I understand that.
It'd be interesting to see how this community reacts to a vanilla-heavy setup where night actions take a backseat, or especially a power-role heavy open setup where role claiming is by necessity illegal.
Sometimes we do All Star games, where roles are taken from old games. It gets a bit different there since name claiming is by necessity a power claim to. I have been wondering if it is time for me to run another one...
Afcngy would have won had he gone with the lynch on KJ.
I kind of figured Afrcngy shot himself in the foot when he didn't change his vote as I felt I was pretty transparent about wanting to lynch Darkstone for my own ends. He did have an alibi for the night, after all. Turns out I was right about the result but not the reason - I figured KJ was the last Mafia and would just kill for the win.

I meant to ask you, what did you steal from me the night you targeted me?

Felt boots and a crown shaped like a snowflake. Which in retrospect was a dead giveaway that you were Mafia, but I wasn't interested in lynching you. Good thing no one asked for my results though.
I did not see this coming. I was 99% convinced killingjoke was the last scum. I could not fathom Afrcngy as a baddie, and kj's bad luck on the night kills did not look like bad luck to me. Thanks for shooting right that last night, kj. I take back everything I said on the last day.
And thanks for the game, everyone. This was a lot of fun. I'm gonna echo Jay's comments about this game having an RYM feel. It was good and nostalgic. I hope to see you all again sometime, whether it's on here or the Syndicate, or some other mystery place.

Keep fighting for those Day 1 lynches! I am with you in spirit. Active townies > power roles

And happy new year!
On the day when Darkstone was up for the lynch, his argument would have definitely convinced me to vote for myself!
My kills coupled with the mafia's bad luck targeting painted me as scum... It was definitely tough for me to shoot Af after he was sticking up for me.
Good game, all. Lots of fun. Happy new year to everyone!
Raven, I was serious about how you need to not focus so much on me with vague gut suspicion to be a better player but I'm not actually annoyed at it. Just needed an excuse to vote for you over Adam. Sorry if I came across jerky.
Heat of the moment and I know I overstepped as well. I just...couldn't shake a gut feeling about you and I tried to pass it off. What really set me off on you was when you repped one of my in-game posts and then didn't post in the thread for over an hour after that. That and JJJ's copping results. With his results, it had to be you as scum. Ironically, you were the only true scum read that I got correct this game. So maybe I'm getting better...
And dang, Af had me fooled. Well done by the mafia to do the early town plant. And as much as I hated dying, it did give the town a bit of a roadmap. I guess I was more valuable dead.
Fun game, tight game, and I love plurality voting even if it would hamper my normal scum strategy of stalling.
