[quote=tyroclixIts the 24th. Next Wednesday isn't the first Wednesday coming up, its the next Wednesday to come.[/QUOTE]
Socially, you are correct...Technically, though you are mistaken. If you said Next Wednesday then TECHNICALLY the next Wednesday is the first one to come up which would be the 17th.
We actually use "See you next Wednesday," as slang for, "I will see you the Wednesday of next week."
Heroclix 5th Anniversary: Expect Nothing...you won't be as disappointed that way.
Actually, he is. He is the only character that can pounce a character while staying in soaring.

Um...this also helps non-ranged flying melee characters also...so it isn't just turning into a ranged game.
Also, if you think the majority of comic book fights are melee then you read the wrong comic books...

That's not true...you can always use Charge, HSS, or even Pounce on Mimic

Sine most to all Close Combat Actions allow you a Close Combat Attack, you can use most of them with this card anyway. I understand where the confusion between the action/attack differences come from but it isn't a situation like Pounce which forces you to take a power action, I think it is power, because of the card and then that allows you a close combat attack.

If Soaring Figs could make Ranged Attacks then that would be the Rules.
Live with it,
or do something about it by the way you play or the Team you choose.
Should I dummy down my Team or playing ability to make it even?
(I do this sometimes anyways for newbs or others)
That is the second time you have said there is a 50/50 chance you will be playing on an Indoor Map and it just isn't right...you have a 50/50 chance to choose the map but that is only close to what you are saying...
I don't think flying characters should be able to shoot out of soaring, maybe a feat later on that allows them to do so with some sort of negative effect, but not on their own.
It limits your team building options innumerably...I shouldn't have to have built in protection from soaring figures who can hit me from 10 to 12 squares away....it is WAY too limiting.

It's not about the 1 movement point...it's about the location of your character after your attack.
Let's saying I have Sauron in Soaring 3 spaces away from Morlock Leader....I can either charge down into hovering and attack with an 11 to her 15 and if I fail be ripe for a flurry/BCF combo...or I could charge in staying in soaring with a 9 attack and be immune from retaliation from her next turn(barring any outwit etc.)

Well Low Gravity and Swingline would work to get a character grounded and then knocked off a building. This combo with a force blaster could be really effective against KC GL.

I'm not so sure about that. Most of the "action" powers say "give this person an X action, and make a close combat attack against an opposing figure." Sounds like it works fine to me. You give the action while they're in soaring, and make the attack against the figure on the ground.
I would agree.
I'm curious to see how far this goes. Charge is a power action that gives a cc action...but cc actions result in cc attacks. Hmmm

On an unrelated note...I've often thought of the Next Wednesday analogy as being that of the 24th also.
The reason would be you have choices when dealing with positions in time. Last, This, Next.
If I'm speaking on Monday the 15th.
Last Wednesday was the 10th. This Wednesday is the 17th. Next Wednesday will be the 24th.
That's the way I've always seen it. The problem is the logic breaks down when we talk about Wednesday on Friday the 19th.
Last Wednesday was the 17th. This Wednesday is the 24th AND Next Wednesday will be the 24th.
Again...I said on an unrelated note.
I too wonder if the wording on the last part of the Swingline Card is ment for the affects of Earthbound to end at the beginning player whose been "Earthbound" or at the beginninng of the players turn who used Swingline.
Hasn't WizKids learned to stop using the word "IT" instead of actually clarifying what they want?????
all the feats so far have been horrible. dive bomb is stupid soaring is stupid the only people who use it are hypersonic speed. now swing line now thats a feat card. batman diserves it now we need thunderbolt like feat for the jla. and a fantastic four like feat for a dc team. mabe jsa or titans.
The reason would be you have choices when dealing with positions in time. Last, This, Next.
Yeah, it isn't very clear and I'm not saying I'm for sure which turn it is talking about exactly because they can always rule either way and it wouldn't be too "off."
