Queen Of Evil:, with Enhancement it is better to give AND receive, though I would be remiss not to mention her FREE Mind Control against your opponents highest pointed character.

She not only plays well with tent poles but against them as well.

She plays nicely at either of her point values, Sidestep, Perplex and a reducer along with the ability to break reducers and cripple Super Senses makes me want to play her at 70.

....But Shape Change, Stealth, Smoke Cloud and retaining access to Queen Of Evil makes 30 points a really nice way to add in some tough support on a budget.

You can't lose with either, it would really have to depend on the makeup of the team I'm playing her with and her excellent keywords give her tons of options.

I was thinking of fielding a lower point ranged cannon between Tala and her beau to get that double Enhancement goodness and then I started to worry about such a big target....then I thought "Hmm, Smoke Cloud".

Pour it on my slinky sorceress, glass cannon for the win!

Now I'm off to see how I can keyword scum Deadshot onto a team with her.

So tala is kitchen sinking her incarnations, pulling double duty on bronze age foil to phantom stranger from the comics as well as gal friday to whomever is the big bad at the time in jlu. This is also where I reveal a chunk of the cadmus subtheme here are missing pumps for you . Anyway you can get 'em, amirite?

This is based on her comic showing, an evil primordial witch summoned by oh-so-dumb worshippers to unleash havoc on the world, and being the plot device behind most the mysteries phantom stranger was tackling in his solo run. The summoning spell makes up the flavor for her top dial and her ultimate plan of unleashing the four horsemen of apocalypse (over a decade before apocalypse got the idea over at marvel, mind) makes the last click upswing (not the use of conquest instead of pestilence). And yeah, the flavor I used on her sc was way too juicy to pass up on. Hey, during this chat I've managed to chat must into adding Horsemen and Deity kw, so thanks for that

At full points she's a threat, the 35er is support and to let her play the behind the scenes plot device from much of phantom stranger's run where she just shows up and justified how that ghost was getting vengeance beyond the grave or why that house those hippy teenagers went into was haunted. She'd pop out at the end, cackle for teh evuls and spring off. Whacky fun.

Now, this should still serve as jlu tala, particularly the rookie, as she was always positioning for power through grodd first then lex (then wally in lex's body for an "encounter" they slipped passed the censors ). And her getting advantage from being next to her tentpole beau is meant to cover that, while simultaneously offering more of her comic flare as the opposing mc for their big gun was meant to be reminiscent of her constant (albeit failed) seduction of ol' phantom stranger

JW deadshot's costed and you've still got room for a 150pt tentpole at full points or 185 if she's pure support

hahaha, oh the possibilities, indeed. that just warms the heart to see this dial inspire so much creativity. that's the zenith, right there. fun possibilities make the world of gaming go 'round

another absentee for jlu's cadmus, i can't think of a more apt description of him than street-level mad scientist. he had his hands in all manner of unfortunate biomodifications. his infamous werewolf serum from btas first came from the comics and it served as his "snapshot click." there's gonna be a theme with the arkham alumni getting a singular 11th click snapshot for cheaper, inmates-running-the-asylum breakout fun. especially given how many of them are the overlooked morts, el cheapo options add to 'em. this version gets a streamlined trick that's backed by a taste of empower to keep him active after he's induced lycanthropy

at full points, he gets a lot more options. most notably is his super-support. i figured keying his effects to support would be a fun trigger for his mad science and the good bits are weighted for the low-end rolls to offset the disappointment. and it also serves to show the procedure going awry with more drastic side effects when the medical procedure was as effective as it could have been. all the while, there's a modest (but why turn it down) speed boost to bf, which gets played with in the myriad of effects he has to stimulate the rage in his patients

but there is just SO MUCH dc material completely untouched still. largely due to the sparsity of sets, but man it's out there, i say we grab it up!

i always look at my sets as an opportunity to do stuff that hasn't been done (or hasn't been done lately) and try to dial things i'd like to play and faces we haven't seen particularly. so it tends to be love letters to nostalgia and things i'd think big collectors that have a robust representation of most the stuff we tend to get already
