this series captivated me as a kid. long before you youngins and your wikipedias and online fansites, if we wanted to know the lowdown on a character all we had to go by were the back issues in our own collection that we'd have to research through or this wonderful tome of information that gave the official data on characters and introduce to me more than a handful by far of characters. to this day, my mind will conjure the iconic images from this book when i think of many characters that i first encountered in the pages therein. therefore, expect to see sculpt art from a who's who volume or a secret files & origins entry where i can. initially i was going to cram this thing with onsies and twosies with no rhyme nor reason (and there's still a good chunk of those in here ) but subthemes started to coalesce on their own (and to maintain some marketability), so look forward to justice league, gotham city underworld, superman revenge squad, five warriors from forever, forgotten villains, creature commandos, league of assassins, project cadmus, intergang, all star squadron and lots and lots of overlap of KWs. chase theme is those poor saps that were made in yesteryear but are stuck in precarded form. some of those ubiquitous familiar faces to be sure, but expect to encounter a dial or two of someone you might not have heard of before, in true "who's who in the dc universe" fashion

Damn, all these folks need to be clixed so badly...
I love Shrieve's ability to affect wild dials, and I love the team theme of swapping to a more-monstrous click!
My only quibble is Velcro's transformation. In the comics, he transforms into a human-sized-or-larger bat. Giant-size wouldn't be remiss depending on how feisty you were feeling!
I don't know if you're interested, but I also did a Creature Commandos set awhile back...
I'm here for Project Cadmus and the Creature Commandos. Will Projet Cadmus finally give us the clone keyword? Only the good Baron knows. While I understand the timing of the Who's Who comics procluding him, I'm still going to be sad that you made a Cadmus subtheme with no Superboy. A guy's gotta look for his favorites where he can when DC is concerned.
hey, thank you. i like to dial stuff that hasn't been done before and this kind of theme is very open to that and also tugs at the nostalgia feels in the right ways for me. plus getting to put who in the set numbers for this one is a hoot

thank you, shrieve is going to be the lynchpin for the team, capitalizing on their monstrous takes. he should also have good playability outside his set with other wild dials in clix to keep all those freaks busy by cutting them loose when they're creatures (autonomous) and keeping them going when their commandos (token removal). initially it was on the same 1-3/4-6 split as the rolls but i felt like scaling it back oh so slightly to 1-2/5-6 makes it more fair and lends itself to a better design. and rs/empower is an odd but not-undoable combo that's also meant to make the most out of those monsters he's in charge of
you know, when i went through their run for research for this, the bat always struck me as normal size, at least initially. but i'm going to take your word for it (it is referred to as monstrous and the like) so i'll just drop the so he retains his for it. thanks

and creature commandos are a hit . something indivisibly comics about their concept. so much fun to be had with them and i hope to do them justice. the project cadmus subtheme kind of grew wildly on its own, a lot of side characters that happened to have links there and a non-inconsiderable consideration for what was left out of justice league animated if i can be allowed to fluff some KWs
superboy is sadly absent here, but he was prominent here, if you'd like to take a gander back at my zero hour set where i tried to do his oh so '90s attitude justice
i like to put together dials a setlist at a time, that way i can do interactions and synergies and honestly assembling the setlist and theorycrafting is as much fun for me as putting the individual products together.
i hope to see you stick around, i post dials daily in the morning
I'm trying to think of situations that would trigger his attack special power: A successful Shape Change by an opponent; if he picked up EE on those first few clicks. I can't think of other situations, but just the shape change alone makes this guy such an interesting play. You run up and target this guy with shape change hoping to hit the dude with impervious next to him. Oh, and mastermind. It would work on mastermind also. That makes it ever doubly cool. Now he's the perfect guy to go after the bossman surrounded by minions.
Great take on a werewolf. I especially like how you differentiate between vet and exp versions. It's nice that the click #11 'feral' werewolf form actually takes away the usefulness of his range. This could really foil your plans if rolled at the wrong time.
Not to be the bummer after a compliment, but I sincerely doubt anything like this will do well now. After the price increase, Im not sure if a heavy set of B and C listers can justify $15 a booster for most players. Collectors and completists maybe.

I forgot to mention how I like the Psychological warfare trait. Just a wonderful execution of the idea of the Creature Commandos.
Onto Vince in particular. I like his bat form for his wild dial with the HSS PC. I also like the thematic design of dropping the last two clicks with a power. Very cool mechanic indeed. Adds even more cohesion to the group.
The dial is great for a 50 or 75 pts. Zipping around as the bat would be a lot of fun also.
