Oh, and I've already received a request that I do a Thundercats mafia as the next installment of this series.
While don't know if I'll do that right away (I honestly never watched much Thundercats, but I will certainly take it under advisment), if you have anything in particular you want to see done, please let me know.
Also, I've got a few weirder things I want to try, so I don't even know that the next mafia I run will even be a DVD Marathon mafia.
Either way, it will be while before I try again. Late Decemeber at the earliest... so plenty of time for me to think about it.
lots of winners, gratz team I was probably the most worthless of our group...
Your night power wasn't quite as powerful as the other two, no, but you had a lot of built in protection I didn't tell you about. Unfortunately, the random number generator gods did not favor you that night
Wow that was brutal. No SK to help us whittle down numbers, the fact that the most favorable mafioso to make the hit basically couldn't make the kill, unbeknownst to us, a 3 town mason group including doctor, jailkeeper and Silence nexus, and all 12 townies comprising the 13 members of the Legion of Doom with one neutral which only served to wreck the mafia...
I know you feel it was balanced Normal, but both of your games have ended pretty bad for the mafia. Are you running the mechanics by an experience mod just to have someone give the balance of the game a second set of eyes?
I know my comments may seem critical and I think you do a fine job modding, but you have to realize these games are very much about timing.
The sooner mafia can get majority (or the town cannot), the less chance they can get tripped up in a lie, especially in a game where there are no safe claims because every character who can be town is taken by the members of the town.
Things like mass silences nexus' are ridiculously harmful. The fact that the silenced players can't be lynched does little to mitigate that.
There is nothing more fraustrating than spending weeks taking notes and working on your proboards only to have it undone by something you feel is outside of your control.

I liked the game. It was fun. I couldn't watch the videos on my iPod either.
About my role...
I just couldn't risk asking any more riddles with the chance that I would be silenced. Especially not after being silenced for 2 days. Plus, I think any riddles I would have sent would be easily answered. Quebbs answered his correctly.
Fun game normal. Congrats to my follow winners, although the only hit that really went off.was on Carlos. My computer is dead so I've been playing by phone which didnt support the videos.
If Wade knew about his immunities that right there really could have sucked for us. I wonder because he did pretty much role claim very early.
Go ahead and put the Aquaman suck in the real disadvantages column too.
I seriously think if you are going to do that you should throw the mafia a really embarrassing write up. Possibly with the words "never going to work" in it.

Yes, both times.

Comments are how people learn. To ignore them is foolish.

Again, there are plenty of characters you could have claimed. The LoD was NOT the only bad guys the Super Friends ever faced. They are the most popular, sure, but you had options... one of you even put a list together on your proboard. Not my fault you didn't use them

The mass silencing only happened once and it was a confluence of events that really couldn't have been anticipated. Will I use a power like that again in the future? Nope, probably not. But did I have any real reason to expect that the one time it went off all game would be the same night the character was targetted by a multiple characters? No, not really.
Besides, I ddin't hear you guys complaining when silence was keeping Mr Stranger alive

Well, isn't that pretty much any non-vanilla game? As soon as the town starts having night actions, they are going to do stuff that messes with the mafia (and each other), no?
I am sorry you were frustrated, and I will gladly listen to any other comments you had. But the cheeky part of me suspects you're just PO'd that you got Aquaman and not something else
I think Desaad was a great claim. The town was just on a roll, with numbers, and ready to lynch someone. A techie character makes a perfectly reasonable cop in my mind.
Who did Aquaman try to kill the 1st two nights? Just curious...
First time was Rokk (Scarecrow) and the second time was Quebbster (Sinestro).
I thought I was laying it on pretty think, by the way, what with him begging the targets to come closer so he could reach them, and they just ignored him and walked away. If that wasn't obvious enough, I do apologize, but I also didn't want to say "DING! DING! DING! HEY TOWN! THIS IS THE MAFIA FAILING TO KILL YOU!" I wanted to leave it open enough that they might think Aquaman was doing something else and they lack of kills was due to a RB or something else.

If you can't put it in the write ups, maybe don't make the sucker such an obvious choice. If you had given Aquaman a usable night power we might not have gone to him twice in a row.

No. Most of the town had something about their powers I didn't reveal (and no, not all of them good for the town).
