Activate, exhaust an X-Men character you control >>> Whenever target stunned X-Men character you control recovers for the next time this combat phase, ready it.
even with all the recovery effects the x-men have, this card is still quite limited. it can only be used during the combat phase, so that means using COTA.
but while limited in use,its effect can be powerful, imagine swinging twice with collossus or archangle.
it is not a 4 of , but with cerebro you need to run 4 or maybe 3 just to find it, and that is alot of space in your deck to dedicate to a card that is situational at best.
so i lied this is the last x-men team-stamped card.
professor x

Loyalty. Recruit Professor X only if you control an X-Men character.
Concealed. (This character comes into play in the hidden area.)
Activate >>> Return target X-Men or X-Statix character card from your KO'd pile to your hand
so how can an x-statx charachter help in a mono x-men deck?
lots, think about all the effects that require you to discard- COTA, james howlett, dazzler, gambit, sunfire- the good prof acts like he was when brazil, getting one card per turn to use as power-up's or discard foder.
but he makes you play him off the curve, which in an mono x-men is bad, Mmkay. at the best you can drop him on turn 2, but that means missing nightcrawler, the man with total anarchy, or bishop, the man with all the sentinels running around.
so for right now, he simply does not fit into any existant x-men arch-types, but that means nothing cuz there are almost no tourny viable arch-types anyways.
i saw your x-men/GK deck and you went with a different direction than mine, i was using the GPCd and the x-men's great low drops, as a swarm team-atacking deck, and it was fun, if not exactly top tier, but i think that the x-statix can provide more synergy and soppurt for this theme than GK can so i will get them a try, while i will still keep my mono x-men curve beatdown deck, since has became my favorite deck thus far.
X-men GK, sounds interesting. The GPCD idea sounds great too, but I could see how it wouldn't be top tier. Batman, how did your deck turn out? Could you post a deck list because I'm not very good at tracking down decks on this site.
Your idea sounds just as interesting as a deck a friend in school dubbed "Knights Squared" staring the Marvel and Gotham Knights in a semi equipment deck.
Oh, and Marvel Knights are waaaay too easy to team up with.
so as the x-men got very little team-stamped help from MK, i am going to look toward some generic cards and see which ones look promising.
the first one up is gravesite
Ongoing: At the start of the draw phase, each player draws a card, then discards a card. Each player who discards an Underworld character card this way gains 1 endurance.
now we all know that drawing cards is a good thing, especially when only you do it, this card allows both players to draw cards so is it really that helpful and do the x-men even need it?
well in mono x-men that just plays only x-men characters and lots of them, no, cerebro is gold when you play it early, it gives you 4 extra cards to find all your x-men drops.
but in x-stall, where you play alot of off-team guys and cerebro can bury them, then this card will be a nice help. who cares if it makes your opponent hit their curve, as long as you hit yours and get out the lock of PM, roguePA, sunfire, mimic, and prof X(7) then you will be set to control the whole board.
i once suggested to a friend of mine to run base of operations for more draw power, and it should some promise, but gravesite is way better, and you can even have more than one copy out. with two in play it acts like a non-team stamped cerebro for everyone.
and if you are facing underworld, don't let the endurance gain bother, by turn 8 when you send everyone back with phoenix force and let imperiex or onslought clean house, it won't matter
over all this is a decent card, that i see pooping up in alot of decks that need draw power and card quality.

that is, If 5-drop Mephisto doesn't erase your Jean grey from the gravesite, I mean KO pile.
that is very true, with underworld, revenge squad, and team superman, x-stall players need to be very careful when they put jean in the ko pile since all of those teams can ruin your plans for recruiting phoenix force.
yeah, i really do think gravesite can make x-stall alot more consistant, which is the decks biggiest weakness, and it does have room for 4 copies of it, unlike x-men beatdown, which is pretty tight as it is.
another decent card to look into for x-stall is shimmer.
now hear me out on this one, she is only for a back-up 2 drop, but she can be useful. she can still exhaust one charachter , since you only control one fearsome five charachter-her. and rogue and mimic can still copy her effect too. the main downside is that it can only be used during your attack step, like pleasant distraction. but still i think running 6 2 drops, both of which can be helpful, is alot better than only running 4.
I'm trying to get my X-Men deck (Curve Aggro) working, and I'd appreciate any constructive criticism y'all might have towards helping it run. The link is in my signature. >_> I've been playing X-Men since VS came out, but I've never had great luck with it, maybe y'all can help.
agrgo x-men has alot of potential, i even placed 4th at a PCQ with it. the best card for it is total anarchy, as it stops titans and can really help you own the early game and set up the tempo for the rest of the match. the x-men's low drops are so massive that you have no fear about them getting KO'ed.
i play an xmen build using wolvie 5 drop instead of the 7 since you can finally get a black bird in to play without fear of it getting k.o.'ed immediately, and it makes the other x's scary as hell!
add in madripoor and danger room and they all get +3/+3
