In my case, though, it had been a birthday gift from Mrs. Soxolas, based on my wanting one. But then I got it...and guess what? I never played Mr. G or even punched the insert pieces that accompanied him. What I did with that particular gift, my wife couldn't care less -- a point she made clear -- so I wasn't bound to keeping it.
Meanwhile, with the release of WoS, there were certain SR figures I did not have, but wanted and knew I would play, if I obtained them.
So, when I saw a trade thread from a Realmser desperately seeking Galactus who had some things I wanted -- in particular, the SI Spider-Woman chase -- I responded and we swung a deal.
I ended up with some very nice figures and my trading partner was THRILLED to get Galactus, saying he'd almost given up hope of acquiring one.
To me, this is an example of what an ideal trade is all about. Yet to this day, when I start to tell the story, somebody will gasp, "You did WHAT --- traded GALACTUS???
But I've never regretted it for a moment.
Meanwhile, I also understand the hold a figure can have on somebody, if a friend or other player gave it to you under special circumstances. I have some figures that belong in that bin and in that sense...they're untradeable. I'm just glad that none is a figure I'm unlikely to ever play.
I felt bad for even taking galactus to be honest so trading would be absolutely out of the question. If I had won or bought him that would be another story. A gift from the wife even. My wife wouldn't know I traded any figures she gave me if I did it in front of her.
Breathe = Breeth. The act of breathing. "I can't breathe!"
Breath = Breth. The noun. "I can't catch my breath!"
"Breath, just breath." sounds hilarious in my head.
My friend and I have a common saying we picked up when we used to play in email RPGs. A lot of people would have to drop various games, and they would drop by saying "I quite. Take me off the list."
Now, whenever we get tired of something, that's our response. It's great when we're playing a video game or something and one of us gets up and says "I quite. Take me off the list."

I think the real problem is that it just gets annoying that you constantly point these things out. It's just something that most of couldn't give two craps about.

If I CONSTANTLY pointed these things out, my post count would be triple what it is.
I pointed this one out because I thought it was funny and people were recently talking about "Havening" other people.

Just let him know that you feel the same way about grammar that he does about wrestling and clix strategy.
