My idiot friend insists that in the newest "Spidergirl" comic series the main character's name was Sara Parker. When i told him it was May Parker, he bet me that it was Sara for the first few issues and then they changed it to May. I think he's stupid. but if he keeps it up i won't have to buy beer ever again. So help me win this bet... anyone read that series can tell my friend what a moron he is?

i don't read the book but the newest Spider-Girl is in the new Amazing Fantasy book & appears to be either Afro- or Latin-American. She's not May Parker.

I have the What If? issue she was created in and the series starting with issue #0. Her name has always been May and never anything else. Enjoy your Beer for Life.

The Spider-girl current, Daughter of Peter and MJ. Her name is May "Mayday" Parker. Named after Aunt May of course. From Issue 1 and on. Has not been diff.

He might be thinking of one of the Spiderwoman's, but none are Sara.

There was a Spider Girl in the old school Legion of Superheros and she was a villian. Sussa Paka, But that's DC.

Well, the "What If?" story was based on the Clone-Era plot regarding M.J.'s pregnancy. Even in that story, Peter and MJ had always intended on "May" if it was a girl (in honor of the then-deceased Aunt May, who turned out to be not-so-dead after all).

Sarah, I think was the name of Mary Jane's aunt. As such, it might be May's middle name (in keeping with the "Aunt" theme), if that's ever been revealed, but I couldn't say for sure as I've only had a vaguely passing interest in Spider-Girl.

The Spiger-Girl series spun off that What If? with issue #0 being a reprint of it. The What If? story did so well they decided to make a series out of it.

As for MJ's aunt...her name is Anna so there is no Sarah there either
