I'm itching to try out Mr. Castle, but I can't figure out a good theme to play him in....

I need a good 300 point Castle/Punisher team, with a good comic book theme...anyone have any good ones?

I play punisher on loner teams which genrally include:
Spiderman
Logan
Hulk
Black Widow
Dr. Strange
Ghost rider
Black cat
etc...

Spiderman, Daredevil and Punisher with SWAT snipers, Officers and Heavy weapons to taste.

Do a Marvel Knights theme team. This could include most of the characters above, but you'll want DD and Black Widow for sure. In fact, how about:

U Hulk CM
V Black Widow
V Daredevil CM (only for the team ability...I think the XP Vet is infinetly more useful)
V Moon Knight
V Spider-Man UT (or CM, or Peter Parker)
Logan
E Ghost Rider (or Ketch)

The thing is even though Frank is a good piece, if he doesn't have a bunch of teammates helping him tie pieces down he's scrizzewed. I ran this type of team in a theme game once and they did pretty well. Of course I threw on Psylocke for Hulk (an incredible tandem) and a few Scourges.

Alright....my suggestion is to mix up universes if you can...if you can't well I'm not sure I can figure something out. V-Spiderman (88pts from CM), E-Black Cat, E-Batman, V-Punisher and R-Paramedic (If you need medics otherwise top it off with nothing or one of the six point figures, better yet Mary Jane?). Batman isn't really a theme except that he is the best loner vigilante of the DC U. If you don't want Batman, V-Ghost Rider is a cool option.

Anyway, the idea is to allow the wilcards to borrow Batman's TA (obviously). There are other options in the Marvel U. Hawkeye has teamed with Spidey...throw him in there (the vet Ultimates version) to get that team ability or use the experience ultimate Cap...Punisher and Cap had an uneasy but real cool alliance once. Either way you're getting a cool TA and some more top off room.

The only team up i can think of at the moment is from the hearts of darkness mini series. There Frank worked together with Danny Ketch and Wolverine, but those three are not really a 300 pts team...

I've been working on a spirits of vengance theme with Frank and Danny Ketch and Scourges to round it out to the point total.

Try some variant of this, perhaps swapping out Huntress. It is fun, and we only play friendly games, so this may not be a tournament level team. It was too difficult for my Sentinel and his li' kids to take out though.

Frank and Braddock are your shooters, he does the running shot/energy explosion doing more damage with help from the British Babe. Spider-man is your free moving stealth defeater with leap/climb-superstrength combo-only heightened by willpower and a good 17 defense. Ice Man lays down a barrier to protect your shooters from those pesky Elektras, returns cover fire, or gives all defender's and allies a good 16-17 (depends on if Spider-man is adjacent). Wasp taxi's either Cat or one of your shooters-Moon Knight provides blocking terrain/secondary attacker and Cat's there in case your dice ####.
