... see the phrase "Firelord is Broken" (or ??borken??) pasted all over these message boards, and I have only the vaugest understanding of this "broken" concept. Can somebody help me? What does it mean?

Broken means he's too good for his point value or is very overused. Firelord is under 100 points, has a 12 movement, 13 attack, 18 defense and 3 base with RCE (5 Clix of range damage!). He carries excellent stats until he ubruptly fails leaving 3 clix of low defense perfect for a well timed medic heal!

So Firelord IS Borken!

I know why Firelord is feared and hated throughout comic book stores far and wide, but what is the textbook definition of "broken/borken"? What other peices are broken? And why "borken"? I have a vague understanding, but not a firm grasp on the concept.

"Borken" is 'broken' misspelled by the moronic or the careless, which you may have noticed the internet is rife with.

"Borken" is funny to say. Like the Swedish Chef gettin' busy.

Any use of "Borken" is an hilarious comedy joke.

Broken is Ultimate Thor. 5 damage at 10 range, unoutwittable, for most of his dial.

Once upon a time ago, there was a thread, like many others, complaining about FL. At the time, this was a firey issue leading to many flame wars.

In this thread, someone misspelled 'broken' as people are wont to do when typing too fast and not reviewing thier posts (hey, I do it too).

Someone picked this out, and started making fun of it, which led to more flamewars.

To make a long story short (Too late!), it is now used by; A) people making fun of others who say that something is 'broken', or B) people who think they know what is going on, but don't, and are trying to be funny.




Today's Realms history lesson has been brought to by the letters P and L, and by the number 9433.....

I just do it because it's a funny-sounding word. "Borken."

Hey, man - I was there, man. When "borken" was born. I was there. So I'll say it all I want, when I want. Don't judge me, man. How could you know? You couldn't possibly know. In the flames of war, man - things happen, happen to your mind. Things that change you forever, man. Borken ain't a word, it's a way of life. I think it might have been me who's fingers first stroked out "borken" in a thread long long ago. It was a Firelord thread.

FYI Captain Canada, also a long time ago now, (Gosh almost a whole year ago), there was no FCCF or NAAT (Fliers can't carry fliers & No attack after taxi) rules. Back in those days Firelord ruled all things heroclix with an iron hand. No constructed convention Heroclix tournament was won by a non-Firelord team and many local venues seeing this unbalance made rules banning, or recosting flaming q-tip head so that people wouldn't see Firelord week after week after week. But Indy Clix rules came out and fixed everything. Now Firelord isn't on every team. He's been replaced by rookie Black Panther, Con Artists, Invisible Girl, mandroids......a whole new flavor of borken figures.
