He seems pretty expensive for what he can achieve, His V is like a crummy version of Rogue w/ a higher point cost. I dont know if you just winged it on costs or used a point generator, but as is he's just too expensive, especially in the face of similar figures like Ghost Rider. I know a lot of that cost comes from Leadership and the X-men TA, but as is I would never play him.
I'd up the starting movement to a 10 on the experienced version and jump to a 12 for the veteran, that way you're getting a signifigant improvement with each upgrade and it would show how much Sam improved over time(which was pretty huge) . I'd also give him the bump to 3 damage in his experienced version, he was one of X-Force's heavier hitters. You might want to consider throwing in some middial defend too, Sam could share his blast field with his teammates, and it would give him some playable depth after he loses charge.
In the category of "great minds think alike," please see my New Mutants thread in the Dreams and Desires forum section.
I haven't tried applying point values to my Mutants yet - which calculator are you using? Also, are you charting the Mutants from Claremont and McLeod to the end of the series, to X-Force, to where?
--love to see more New Mutants.

When our story opens, the Question is investigating an impossible locked-room murder mystery involving a midget and a 6'6"-tall call girl into heavy bondage. Don't worry, I'll explain later. It's all vitally relevant.

I don't like the fact that he has Leadership. Shure he led the New Mutants at one point, but in Hero clix it is just so... meh.
I think he deserves more offensive powers, but that's just me.

I dont understand why you're giving sunspot battle fury. He was hotheaded, but never in an out of control berserker way. I'd say that his low DV represents his recklessness better than a power that doesn't really apply, since he can also readily be mind controlled.
As time went on Sunspot's powers changed substantially. He learned how to use his powers to fly and to project his solar energy as energy blasts. The Experienced version should gain some running shot, flight, and a 6 range with some ES/D and some toughness.
His Vet should be an improvement upon that, where Bobby has founded X-Corp and is a corporate leader with good control of his powers. He should start as an improved version of his E version with a higher range and some RCE, and shift to some charge and superstrength middial.
Cannonball looks a lot better, though I'd say give him one more click of charge on the Vet version, because ramming into #### is pretty much his entire schtick. The Vet should have 4 clicks charge, E 3, and R 2. His final movement also shouldn't drop below a 7 on that version IMO.
KEY
Movement: [MC] = Mind Control
Defense: [W] = Willpower
The reason I set her up like this is because Xavier always noted how strong-willed she was from being traumatized when she was younger. Karma's a straight-forward mentallist and a pretty good one towards the end of the New Mutants.
Way too much willpower and Mind Control Eventually hafter getting hit a bunch he would be too hurt to use her powers. Also she's not a 7 click character.
