I know that when pulse wave happens all team abilities and powers are turned off.
My question is, if pulse wave kills someone with FF or SS team ability, do you get to use there team ability since it is used when the team members die?
Well, to start, you're wording of the ability of pulsewave is a tad off. Team abilities and powers are not turned off, they are just ignored, and that's only for the pulse wave attack. Pulsewave ignores all team abilites, but I believe those particular team abilites only are affected after a death occurs. I don't believe the characters are KO'd until after the pulse wave occurs, so I think it would be legal. Like to see a pro judges thoughts on this one though...

OK Funky Jett, but what about someone outside the PW's range... say a Pulsewaver kills Medusa from the FF... It ignores her team ability, but doesn't turn it off. Shouldn't people outside the range of PW be able to take advantage of her death?

Well, if the teammate's partner is inside the Pulse Wave, then the team ability has been ignored. In other words, it won't trigger.
The only exception would be a case where a friendly figure (A) is just inside the half-range of the attacker and your Suicide Squad figure is adjacent to A and is just OUTSIDE the half-range of the attacker. Since the figure with the team ability isn't affected by the Pulse Wave, it will work then.
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.
from pulse wave description: this attack ignores all team abilities and powers and abilities possesed by characters within range.
an attack is defined as: a close combat or ranged combat action that includes an attack roll to determine whether or not one character hits another
and from defeating characters: As soon as three KO symbols appear in a character's stat slot, that character is defeated. remove the character from the map. it is ko'dand no longer a part of the game.
the definition of an attack says that it is the whole action. so pulse wave would ignore all TA's through the resolution of the action. since figure's are removed as soon as the KO's appear, there is no time at which their TA can activate.
that's how i see it.
Lying to myself was never the problem.
The problem was when I believed.
I've been told recently (in a not-so-friendly way, thanks so much to FJ and Psylockeslover for their unnecessary rudeness) that the Rules Arbiter has determined that EVERYTHING gets ignored by PWave, all the way up to FF/SS team ability resolution. So as far as 'Clix "sanctioned" events are concerned, that determination is what we're stuck with. (However, before starting an event (if your team would make use of FF/SS TA), I would ask the Judge his opinion on the matter. Judges are only required to make decisions based on what's in the current rulebook, PAC, and FAQ updates; they do not have to be aware of or even agree with every decision the Arbiter makes until that decision shows up clearly in one of those 3 documents.)
On a more logical side for non-sanctioned games, I have to agree with where OpalScion & FlatFootedBoy are going on this. The def. of 'attack' says nothing about the following 'damage dealt' and 'damage taken' phases, the latter of which would be when FF/SS would activate. Let us just say that outside those who blindly follow the rulings of the WK Rules Arbiter, this matter is still very much up for debate.
(p.s.: See the 'Pulse wave against Mystic TA' thread for how scholarx got his very first warning points! Big thanks go to Funky Jett and/or Psylockeslover for that, those little tattletales. My transgression was minor I assure you, and I would apologize on that thread... that is if the administrator hadn't apparently blocked my access to the thread.)
Well, PL, in the interest of civil conversation...
As I said, this is the 1st time I've ever had to deal with warning pts. Since I've seen much more offensive language in posts that are still up, I have to think that someone must have reported it... but if you say it wasn't you, I'll take you at your word. Wow, they really deleted the whole thread for a word that sounds something like 'pull spit'? Now that's funny.
Alright, barring that conversation gone awry, and realizing that everyone now has notice of what the Rules Arbiter has chosen as far as PWave... would you at least be open-minded enough to agree that there is a little bit of 'room for interpretation' in this matter? Not every Judge out there is searching out the Arbiter's decision every time there's a question (nor should they).
