Honestly i've won alot of tournies, but KC Bats is too expensive for what he is. His attack value is an asset, but that point cost and high defensive value make him near useless. The underlying problem I see with him is his lack of range. You have to be 6 squares away in order to launch an assault with him. Most people will use him as a support piece with all the outwit throughout the course of his dial. In a higher point, theme based, game he isn't all that bad. I just don't think he can be utilized competitively. Oh, and I don't see him as a finesse piece, that's really for guys like Mandarin and Dr. Strange.
Use darkness BFC to shorten your opponents range. This is a big "if" in a tournament but it's a free addition. It will only work once but maybe once is all you need to win that round.
Batman can be offensive (at significant risk) but you have to treat him like a superstar:
1. "Awe your Audience" Batman should only be in the open facing foes if he has successfully incapacitated them. That way he can't be retaliated against. Also he can outwit a figure to allow your secondary attacker a solid shot in.
2. "Sorry nobody gets to touch the Bat,..Security!!!" You are gonna want to drop a barrier around him to protect him from a massive damage strike or have some scrub pieces provide some blocking for him. You don't want Bats taking a hit from somebody straight up until late in the game. This way he stays a monstrous threat.
3. "Personal Attendant" Batman carries a medic...Always. Call it home care or whatever you want, but this old codger needs his meds. The truth of the matter is: Batman is gonna get hit. If you have medic on tap you can at least try to reverse some of that damage. Plus with Kingdom Come Team ability it will be hard to base Batman to stop the healing.
Above all focus on the glorious tales you can tell if you win with him...and when you wake up from that dream focus on the fun you had trying.
That's about it.

Wine is only good with cheese, not Heroclix.
If you're playing unrestricted, no one benefits more by carrying a R Invisible Girl than KC Bats. Have a Medic, IG and a Barrier piece on the board and use as required.
KC Bats is expensive for what he can(not) do, but he's still fun to play on big teams where the support you need would be there anyway!
KC Bats... 188
R Invisible Girl... 37
E Paramedic... 10
LE George Tarleton... 16

251. It's not KC Superman, but it's fun!

Something someone complains about when they're beaten by a player using established rules more efficiently, fair and square.
