This forum game was specifically set up as a demonstration game of the rules set popularly called "Brazil's Rules", which is actually a collection of house rules compiled by me from sobmissions from many HCRealms players as well as a few local players. These rules have been updated and tested over the last couple years and are now a farily well balanced set of rules. Anyone interested in seeing these rules PM me. And if you're interested in participaing PM me also. I'd like to have a 3 on 3, Good vs Evil 300 point format. What we'll do is we will alternate taking turns on different days. The players on the Good Side will move one day, Evil will move on the next day...and so on. Each player can do his turn any time that day, but must do his whole turn all in one post. To make things flow smoothly, players will make all Super Senses and Impervious rolls for their opponents, and where possible, PC rolls as well. (If it's obvious) If it's not obvious then they should PM or e-mail the player for their PC choice. To further simplify things, abilited like Hydra, Enhancement and Leadership, may only be used on your own figures, they may not help your teammates. Also as this is a test format for the basic rule, I think we should ommit BFC and Feat Cards for this game. (I suspect there will be a big change for Feat cards for the next version of these rules anyway.)
There are a few specific invitees for this forum match, but I'll take open volunteers for the remaining slots on a first PM first in basis.
I'll be posting all the turns right on the map. Traditionally these forum games consume about 10 mins of your time every other day. And they usually make a good read, as players tend to role play and post some pretty funny stuff at times. All rolls will be handled using a dice server to ensure fairness.
Yeah, soon as we get 6 players we'll start. Since you're first to respond. Go ahead and pick your team and post your starting location. I think we'll do all the starting locations at once, since the map is big enough that First Strike across it is impossible, starting locations won't be hyper-critical. So choose your starting area and either "Good or Evil". Then anyone choosing the opposite of what you took can start on the other side of the map. I'll take the last available slot.
Don't be shy if you haven't played a forum game before. It's pretty easy. It will take you approximately 10 min every other day to take your turn.
Those people who are pm'd me and are playing should just go ahead and post their figure placement. The first person to pick his team will get choice of side of the map. The other team will start on the opposite side. Since the map is so large, figure placement shouldn't be as critical since there is no way to attack across the map in one turn. After everyone is placed, I think we'll randomly determine which side goes first and we'll start on the next day. I'll try to do all the map updates and get them posted as often as time permits me. When you're taking your turn, be sure to read any posts by players since my last map update as some figures may have moved if you post after someone and before my update. All turns for your team may be done any time on your team's days to move. All moves will be between 12:00am and 11:59pm PST on the days you are scheduled to move. If you're not on Pacific Standard Time be sure to make the appropriate time adjustment.
In case of a mistake: We'll handle things as follows -
If a mapping mistake occurs due to my error. We will try to back things up and try to work out a solution on a case by case basis. (I'll try to be careful, but occationally I forget an action token or something, if you notice I made a mistake post it ASAP and I'll correct it.)
In case of an illegal move. That player or that players team mates if they spot the illegal move, can back up to the point of the illegal move and redo their turn from that point if nessesary. This correction must be done on your team day to move. If the error isn't spotted until the next day then the erroring piece will be placed back in it's original position and given a pass action. These are new rules for some of you so I suspect there will be a few mistakes, if I spot them I'll post them as soon as possible so the player has an opportunity to correct his moves. On the weekends my computer connection time is very limited, so expect deminished map updates on weekends. I'll try to get on every day and update the map however. If someone else would like to help with the map updates let me know and I'll send you the original art, and give you a brief instruction on how to update the map. It's not too hard, the map was created with MS Paint and is easily manipulated and updated with MS Paint. If you're on a Macintosh, don't ask.
We'll use the Irony Dice server to resolve all dice rolls. It's easy to use, should take about 3 mins to master it's use. The most difficult part is making sure you use a good description to describe each roll. Include the attacking figure, the defending figure, the square the figure is attacking from, and any superpowers or other factors which effect the attack. If you're careful here, it's not too hard. Everyone will have everyone elses e-mail addresses. If you make a roll against a particular player, it would be best if you e-mail that player with the carbon copy of the roll results from the dice server. In the case of a break away, or some other roll, just use any one of the opposing players for roll verification.
That's about it. Nevermind the long explanation, it's all pretty simple and strait forward once we get started.

Is each player going to get 3 objects, are you going to randomly add them in, or are you just not going to include them in for this?

Go ahead and place your figures on the map Super_Member, Clix Hunter and Wakandaman. Make sure that the Evil teams all choose the same starting area, so whomever posts their placement first picks the side for their team and Good must start opposite of Evil. Once a third player chooses to be on Team Evil, the rest of the players must choose "Good".
I'll start editing teams onto the map in the morning, we'll start soon as we get 2 more teams...I'll take the last spot.
Setup started...Still need players to pick their teams and starting locations. Don't be shy, if no one else has picked a starting location then post yours. First one to post gets to pick his team's side. The other team must post accordingly.
Okay GreenStranger. You do understand we're playing this one with an alternate set of rules. PM me for the link to the rules, and if you still want in post your team.
