Well, another huge DC event is upon us. After IC, the main writers have assurred us that the revelations are only the beginning of what they plan to put the heroes (and us) through over the next 2 years. And that the death of Donna Troy was the first catalyst to set it all off. I subscribe to all theories that that little rat bastard Lex Luthor is no doubt calling some shots here. But today it hit me, I think I know who Batman is holding on the promo for DC Countdown.

Arsenal

Hmmm, lets see. Arsenal is meeting with Batman, who turns out to be Deathstroke. The latest issue of Outsiders ends with Deathstroke about to lay a beating on Arsenal. Yet he's still wearing the Bat-Costume. And the shot in the promo is Bats from behind. And next month is when Countdown kicks off. Argue what you want about the costume of the fallen figure, but the artist could manipulate it any way he wanted to hide the surprise. After the revalations in IC, could the death of another former sidekick be the collective kick in the junk we're all expecting. Could this be Slade, Lex, Calculator and the rest of those baddies raising the stakes and hurting more people close to those in the masks???

Let me clear everything up. last summer ic ripped off disassembled. next summer dc will ripoff miller's wolverine, and show bats at odds with the rest of the dc.
blue beetle will die but be resurrected by some scarab reincarnation nonsense. They are going to try to make him the character of the year, kill him off then bring him back in a month.

But I'm curious Zeb, how exactly did Identity Crisis 'rip" off that garbge known as disassembled? Actually, as I remember it, Marvel published a carpy mini series known as Identity Disk in response to DC's Identity Crisis.

The Shiar Imperial Guard is a blatant rip off of the Legion of Super Heroes.

How the Squadron Supreme is a blatant rip off of the JLA.

How Deadpool is a blatant rip off of Deathstroke.

How Secret Wars was thrown together as an answer to Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Also, how Superman is so lame, that Marvel saw it fit to create not one, but 2 characters patterned after him. Those two being Hyerion and Gladiator.

What about how, Young Avengers is Marvel's answer to Teen Titans?

Hey by the way darth youre always saying dc is doing better then marvel, and that Identity crisis was great. well how come in a recent poll in wizard magazine 46% of those polled felt that identity crisis was a letdown? How could half the people who read dc's best product of the year not like it?

....wow...there is no logical reason for this statement. I've been gazing at the post for an hour trying to put myself in a mind set that could say this.

Especially if you think about that little thing called "Identity Disk"...thats right Marvel's answer to I.Crisis...
So, DC ripped off Marvel, then Marvel ripped off DC, so then Identity Disk should really be Disassembled....

Disassembled-> IC-> Identity Disk so I.Disk is the grandfather of Disassembled...is that how it works??

Lesson learned...do not look for logic in a Marvel Zombie's anti-DC (or any publisher that doesn't do Spider/X-men/Daredevil/Hulk movie stuff) ramblings....

I'm sorry...I've read all these mini's being discussed, the only ripoff was I.Disk ripping I.Crisis. And I.Crisis solicited before Disassembled was under way.
I'm trying to understand why so many Marvel fans HAVE to hate DC....when i was young i was a Marvel Zombie, now I do read primarily DC. Why? Because DC simply has better writers. (I'm cheating and including Vertigo writers as well). And the reason is simple...a monkey could write Spiderman or X-Men and a large group would still read it and love it. So Millar, Bendis and...well ok I guess just those two...can do a few books a piece and everything else rides...
