hey i just thought up a pretty cool combo and i wanna know if its legal here it is

my persuader copying mystics with a damaged shield feat on him

if my opponent attackes him up close do they take two damage?

1dmg=mystics 1dmg=damage shield

please pm the answer to me as i dont usally check my threads

It would be two separate 1 damage dealt, yes. The last I remember it would be dealt in the order YOU choose since it's your character. That would be in case you needed Mystics to bypass Toughness hoping it was the last click of it.

Well, I'm not PMing it to you just so you can be lazy and not check your own thread... besides, other people might be interested in the answer. Short version- as clixer11 said, yes. The damage is not dealt all at once like it would be with EE/Splash, and unless you had Armor Piercing, the Damage Shield damage would be stopped by any damage reducing defensive ability. An interesting thing to note is that if Persuader's Invulnerability or Toughness reduce the damage from a close combat attack to 0, it still triggers Damage Shield (unlike the Mystics ability), so that prevents low-damage people from taking a swing at you just trying to roll the crit to punch through your damage reducers.
