Those wacky giant figures! Both these situations happend in a game I was playing yesterday. A) If a friendly figure who has the Masters of Evil team ability is two spaces away from a giant figure can both make a close combat action against a opposing figure who is two spaces away from the giant figure and adjacent to the figure with the MOE team ability.
B) G = giant figure, B = barrier, N = normal character, X = clear terrain.

Can the Giant fig. make a close combat attack against the normal fig. ?
Can the Normal fig. escape without making a breakaway roll?
Thanks for helping me out.
I can win an argument on any topic, against any opponent. People know this, and steer clear of me at parties. Often, as a sign of their great respect, they don't even invite me.

A) No. The Giant figure is only adjacent for movement and close combat attack purposes, the MoE Teammate would have to be in base to base with the Giant figure.
B) No he can't. The Barrier is just like a wall, the 2 characters are not legally adjacent. The standard character does not have to roll breakaway.
