I'm just checking to make sure this is legal. Here's the scenario. My figure Green Goblin has double targeted with energy explosion and has had his damage perplexed. There are three figures standing in a row in front of him in this order A B C. He targets A and C. He makes both attacks. Wouldn't figures A and C both take 2 damage and Figure B take 4. And all of them would take knock back. My judge wasn't sure and one of my friends told me he had read it in a rules revision. The judge told us to flip a coin and I lost. I was really happy with my team and this coin flip completely wrecked it. Please reply soon.
This move is partially illegal anyway. You can't perplex your damage up for Energy Explosion. It's a timing factor. Perplex cannot be used in the middle of an attack (Unlike Enhancement). This means you have to use it before you declare your energy explosion. So, you damage goes up thanks to perplex, but then EE makes it go to 1 regardless. So the two on the outside would take one apiece, and the one in the center would take two.
Remember, knock-back only applies if doubles are rolled and damage is actually dealt. So damage reducers would come into play here.
