Alright, I was working out some custom villian types, then creating dials for them, and I thought that a neat character idea would translate out to having Hypersonic Speed and Steal energy. Now, according to my understanding of the rules, these two powers work together, because steal energy activates whenever you damage an enemy figure with a close combat ATTACK, like is provided with Hypersonic Speed option 1.

I also figured I'd better be absolutely sure. Am I right here?

You are right there... and right there too. Just be careful if the figure loses HSS after gaining a click of health from the Steal Energy.
