Heros have initiative, so you can place your character anywhere in your legal starting area (in this case, 1 and 2) and then make your first move. If your character is KOd, they are left there until the end of the scenario. If all heros are defeated, I will create a special scenario.
All players are expected to write a story post describing their actions after they've done their turn. Prizes may be given out for entertaining, well thought out stories. We will also need to learn to work as a team, so please tell people if you would be willing to let them use your perplex, pc, etc. Saying that you will PC any appropriate rolls that you can will be sufficient.
Dials will be available in the main discussion topic. And now...
Scenario 1
Dawn of the Superhero
6:47 PM. Los Angeles, California
A Hydran company semi truck swerves to avoid collision with a massive blue.... creature. It howls and grabs the vehicle, slowing it to a stop and making sure that the rear of the trailer is accesible so that the others with him can unload its precious cargo. Only a few priviledged individuals knew for sure what was in the crates, and the creature, The Crusher, didn't much care. As long as he was being compensated properly, he could do just about anything involving brute force.
Behind him, in an old military uniform, stood a man polishing a deadly looking rifle and loading a few rounds into it. He was in his late 20s or early 30s, with a deep brown moustache, and hair the same color, although it was covered by the uniform's hat.
"Hey, Deadeye!"
The military man looked up to his summoner, a rather young looking boy who was obviously a cripple. He had hobbled over, then used one hand to point toward the truck.
"Vince and Stan need you to help them with the load."
Deadeye stood up, then strapped the rifle to his back and stretched his arms.
"Alright, Crutch, I'll get right on that."
He started moving toward the area the cripple had motioned toward, then turned back.
"Hey, Crutch. You aren't carrying anything, why are you even here?"
The boy gave Deadeye a rather frustrated look, then answered.
"I'm here for the same reason that this isn't just a bunch of thugs like Vince and Stan. This is really heavy duty stuff, and our employer wants to make sure he gets it, come hell, highwater, or the SWAT team."
Deadeye nodded, then spoke sarcasticaly.
"Right. You'll do a good job with tha..."
Just before he could finish the sentence, he fell to the ground, reaching for his leg, as if feeling to see if it were still there. Crutch smirked.
"Don't tempt me any further."
Then, as soon as it had come, Deadeye's leg felt normal again. He cautiously stood up and walked away. As he neared the truck's rear, Deadeye noticed that his vision blurred every few seconds, but he shrugged it off upon noticing that it was just Hype scouting the area. That guy would work for anyone who claimed they could develop a cure for his condition. Deadeye's smirk faded when he saw a short, hunchbacked man lugging one of the crates out of the rear of the truck.
"Do you need some help with th..."
He reeled back as he noticed who it was. It was Black Death, the man who was rotting alive. As such, Deadeye had no inclination to come into contact with him or anything he'd touched recently. Even momentary skin contact could cause a good deal of pain, he didn't want to catch whatever disease Black Death had contracted.
As he pulled back, he saw three of their men running toward him. Vince and Stan were rather average street thugs, each armed with a small pistol, but the other man... Deadeye had been told that he looked different to everyone, and sometimes different to the same person from one glance to the next. Something about his affecting the brain chemistry of people to his advantage. However, be that as it may, Identity was running back, yelling.
"They're here!"
Deadeye grabbed Identity by the shoulders and stopped his forward motion.
"Who are they?"
Identity threw his camera to Hype.
"Hype, go get a picture of them, quickly, but try not to be noticed."
Hype nodded, and was gone for a few seconds. When he returned, he gave Identity the camera, and he loaded the latest picture, which showed a small group of people who obviously were making some sort of plan, no doubt some plainclothes officers. Deadeye nodded, then broadcasted into his communicator.
"Boys, it sounds like we've got some company. Anyone up to greet them?"
He wasn't sure if the response was frustrated or sadisticly glad as a whole, but there was one thing for certain.
They were ready.

"Alright guys, I've been hired to lead you to victory. Someone higher up saw the potential in all of you, and has brought you on to the team to test your skills in field work. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get you through the training course before actual field work called. This is your test. If you suceed, you join me in crime fighting. If you fail... let's not consider that possiblity at the moment. Now, for the situation. Someone has hijacked that semi and is unloading the contents. I'm not sure what's in the crates, but I've been told it's big. The only thing I know about these guys is that they're a pretty tough bunch, but you all showed promise in our preliminary observations."
He paused for a moment.
"Right now, I suggest we advance slowly and carefully, we still have the element of..."
Kane Greyfeather heard something, then turned to the source of the sound. For only an instant, he saw a figure there take a picture of them then disapear.
"Scratch that. Do whatever you feel like. They know we're here anyway..."

My move: Kane Greyfeather begins at J-2, uses perplex to increase his speed to 7, then runs to I-9.
With a tinge of fear and a lump of anixiety Josh moved forward. He would stay back for now and disguise himself. He would change his skin to match that of the rusy buik. Only the most skilled individual would be able to detect him.
As he did this, he thought, this could be the best or the worst day of my life.

Staying away from the rest of the team as an outsider does,Sean Harris quickly moves behind a firetruck. He decides that he will hide there until the time was rite for him to move in.
"Tricky bastards," comments Mercy Danger Iscariot, scanning the end of the bridge through a pair of lightweight NAVY SEAL binoculars. She spots easily a few suspicious looking people and puts her binoculars down in her backpack. She looks around, her eagle-eye searching for any possible threats. All she sees are her comrades moving into position, each one investigating this situation. She grimaces and puts on her backpack.
She moves swiftly with ease. Her Black Ops training is kicking in as she skulks to hide underneath a police car. Her footprints make no noise; she is like a ghost in corporeal form. She quickly peers from under the car, squinting, to make out the shapes at the end of the bridge. Her black suit blends in perfectly under the belly of the police cruiser as she removes her backpack and throws it beside her.
"I'll wait and see where this is going." Mercy thinks to herself. "For now...."

She looks at his 15-year-old face and grins in spite of herself. Then, she turns her head forward again, waiting patiently.

Story: Mindbender, seeing the rest of the team take up advantageous positions, rushes forward, hiding behind a motorcycle. "I'll show them I'm powerful. That I'm useful!" he thinks as he plans to crush the evildoers with his brainpower. "Maybe I can use this motorcycle as a weapon. . .. "
Move: Mindbender starts out in D-1 and moves to G-6

Story: Sebastion shakes his head. "While Kane said to do whatever we feel like, I didn't think most of them would take him literally. This is a bit chaotic for my liking." He glances down at his hand as a small blade starts to protrude through his palm. Blood trickles through his fingers and splatters a bit onto the pavement. He thinks to himself "This is no time to be nervous." He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes as the blade retreats into his palm and the wound seals itself shut. "I need to focus." After nodding in agreement with himself, Sebastion looks around at everyone, pushes his glasses up his nose a bit and heads off towards Mercy and Josh. Smiling with little assurance, he looks at Mercy. "Any suggestions?"
Nerves seem to be getting the best of him, today of all days.

Gigawatt MK-0 watched and processed as his companions seemed to dart off in their own speparte directions. His AI caused him to wonder if they know what they're up against, and if they should be worried.
He zoomed his telescopic vision as far as it would allow across the terrain and was able to make out seven silhouettes in the distance, though he was sure he saw eight when he touched down. He quickly performed a quick diagnostic, noting all systems were running at peak performance.
He found himself wishing, if a robot could wish, the there had been more time for upgrades before he left the lab. Talks of tesla cages and cloaking devices were on the lips of almost everyone there as Gigawatt flew off to join his newest comrades. Perhaps there would be more time for upgrades soon, he thought to himself.
Flying forward, Gigawatt took slight cover behind the hood of a nearby police car. It wasn't going ot offer much, but anything was better than taking a blast to the chest.
move: Gigawatt starts in N-1 and moves to N-6 (hovering)
