I have questions regarding ICWO option II. I don't understand how the mechanics of this works. The people at my venue claim they understand Oracle on the Card but their explanations are not consistent.
I am playing a 1000 point Kingdom Come theme team (the figures do not have to have the KC TA). My team (which everyone assures me is unwise, doesn't meet a true KC theme is and unlikely to win) is composed of KC Hawkman, V Icons Superman, KC Flash, KC GL, U Dr Fate and E Raven and each piece has ICWO.
Oracle is on her initial click. I have two of my figures in range of an opponent who I wish to attack. Neither of my figures has perplex or outwit on their dial. What I want to do is outwit the opponents defensive power and then attack my opponent with perplexed up damage.
1.) Can I just declare ICWO with Hawkman and tell my opponent I am outwitting his defense, next outwit the defense and then attack him with Hawkman?
2.) Do I take an action with Hawkman then get outwit which I apply as a free action so that my second figure can attack my opponent with his defense power nullified?
3.) Is it taking an action that causes Oracle's dial to be moved to outwit?
In other words does my action with Hawkman activate the outwit. Does the action come first, followed by the outwit or is it that my action is used up turning the dial and then followed by the outwit which is a free action.
4.) Assume Oracle is already on perplex. Assume all of my pieces have line of fire to each other but only Supes can attack the opponents cenerpiece which needs to be crippled or knocked out this turn. The goal is to max Supes damage and his chance of hitting the opponent.
One of my pieces perplexes up Supes stats. Can my second figure and third figures perplex up Supes for a total of +3 to damage?
5.) Or is it like this. If the first perplex goes through to Supes does the second perplex cause the initial perplex to disappear and the third perplex cause the second to disappear leaving only one extra click of damage?
6.) Please add any comments or suggestions you would like to help clarify or explain this issue. Thanks.
only the fig that took an action to move Oracles dial gets to use the powers,so someone moves the dial to get the perplex, then perplexes up supes damage, then another moves the dial to outwit and outwits a power, then supes attacks and oracles up his damage to a total of 7.
so that's 2 actions to move the dial 1 for the attack you could then take take 2 more actions to move the dial back and forth and attack with your last fig.
From the card - At the beginning of any of your turns, you may assign a power action to any Agent with zero or one action token and turn Oracle's dial to any click.
You can only spin Oracle's dial at the beginning of your turn.
It takes a power action to give an Agent one of Oracle's powers. It is not a result of any other action.

Also note that you can only do this once per turn, as once you've given someone an action the "beginning of the turn" has passed. You could give Hawkman a power action, give him an action token, turn Oracle's dial to Outwit, then use that Outwit to cancel a power on some other figure, but that's just because Outwit is a free action. Hawkman's action to turn the dial is the only one he can take that turn.
The multiple Perplex of Superman wouldn't work for two reasons-
1) that's not how In Contact With Oracle works (see above)
2) even if it did, once each figure lost Perplex (by assigning Perplex to someone else) that previous use of Perplex would be cancelled anyway.
First off I would like to say that if I had read the full card instead of the parts that were being discussed I would have caught the beginning step part my bad.
A perplexed fig. stats stay changed until their dial moves, and where does it say that at the beginning of your turn you can't turn the dial twice? The card does say any agent with 0 or 1 token on it(could be in the rule book somewere but I am to lazy right now). It's the beginning of your turn there are lots of things that check for beginning effects and some of them work with a combination of powers.ie poision and outwit.
I can understand people not wanting to complicate things more but that's what some people look for "how can I break this fig.""how can I abuse this combo".
This is really a silly point to argue but somewere someone is going to try and it should be cleared up for at least that.

The reason you can't do it more than once at the beginning of your turn is that as soon as you give a character an action token you are out of the "beginning phase" and into your turn.
Poison and Outwit work as they do because neither is a tokenable action. As free actions they can both be done before you give any of your figures a token.

Or until the Perplexer loses Perplex. Which is a moot point, because as has already been explained, ICWO can only be used to give one Agent Perplex.
