Last year Gargantua and FlyingIcarus paired up 22 of Marvel and DC's best teams to determine the best 300 point team in the game. Now, after Mutant Mayhem and Legacy releases we're decided to try it again---for 500 points teams. And with round 1 under our belt, we now have Fantastic Forces, Icons and Armor Wars to choose from as well

Rules are simple:

***All eligible figures in a team must have the team logo on the base (ex. no Flash for JSA)
***Only the highest or lowest point figure can use the ta (depending on the ta). This is so the game is less about the ta, more about the team.
***We've chosen not to use feat or battlefield condition cards
***Total points of each team must range between 490-505

During Round 1, twelve teams were eliminated, and twelve moved on: Avengers, Defenders, Fantastic Four, JLA, Kingdom Come, Legion of Superheroes, Minons of Doom, Spider-Man Allies, Superman Enemies, Ultimate X-Men, Ultimates and X-Men. The six winners, and the two losing teams with the highest KO points will move on to the Quarterfinals.

Game 1: Avengers clobbered the Ultimate X-Men.

Game 2: X-Men pull the rug out from under the Ultimates for the win (139 KO points for the Ultimates).

Game 3: Supermans' Enemies take on Spider-Man and his pals, getting underway now.

Game 4: DC's best of two eras meet as the JLA fights the LSH, right here, right now.

Here's my Legionnaires team. Looking at the match-up. I'll be surprised if I win this, but we've always said that about the Legion games, and they always do surprisingly well.

"So are we sure that Mordru has possessed this Legion of Superheroes?" Wonder Woman asks in a voice that is more of a command.

"That's what the GL Corps have told me," Green Lantern replies.

"Then that's good enough for me," Flash says.

Plastic Man takes the shape on a seat and sits in himself sipping tea from a cup make of himself, pouring from a teapot also part of himself, "Mmmmmmmmmm....tea anyone?".

Green Arrow shakes his head, "I'm glad I was dead when we gave this guy JLA membership. It would have been enough to kill me anyway."

"We don't need the drama, Ollie. Let's go," a reluctant Batman says entering the scene.

"Bruce...I didn't think you'd..." Hal starts to say.

Batman says nothing. He has come to question his alliance with the JLA of late. That doesn't stop him from doing a job. The Legion of Superheroes are the future greatest heroes. Today they are possessed by Mordru. Today...they will face the presents' greatest heroes.

My initiative is 9.

Marvel 3, eh? Pretty much irrelevant which side I'm on so I'll let you pick side and take the extra HO - just to get it out of your hands.

"I don't like it," Saturn Girl said.

"Neither do I," Cosmic Boy agreed. "I mean the Justice League were our big inspiration for founding the Legion. We shouldn't have to fight them."

"Do you think I want to?" Brainaic asked. "Of course not, but the data I've pulled up is indisputable. They're coming, and their presence here is going to completely disrupt the timestream if we don't stop them."

"And we can't just explain it to them?" Supergirl asked.

"Something's got it in their heads that we're being mind controlled," Live Wire explained. "They'd never believe us. And there's no time."

"So we hit them hard and fast, and apologize later," Wildfire summarized.

"I'm afraid so," Live Wire confirmed. "Shvaughn, thanks for bringing this to our attention, but you should probably go now."

"You're sure I can't help if I stay?" the Science Police liaison asked.

"This is the Justice League," Cosmic Boy explained. "No offense, but the kind of power we're talking about is just out of your, well, league."

"Too late," Saturn Girl announced. "They're here. Just stay in the back Shvaughn. Keep yourself safe."

"Like hell," Erin muttered to herself.

"Awfully quiet out there? What do you think they're thinking about, Ollie? The big scary Batman? Who to take to the 1000 annual Sadie Hawkins day dance? Zits? Do you think they have a Rosie the Robot?" Plastic Man asks Green Arrow purposely aggravating him.

"See this pointed arrow, Plas? I'm ready to give you a new hole."

"Like I haven't heard that one before! Sheesh."

The big three look outwards.

"What do you think?" Green Lantern asks both Batman and Wonder Woman.

"We hit them hard and fast," Wonder Woman replies first.

"Yeah!" Flash says.

"Agreed. We can't afford to give them leeway because they're children. We can't afford to trust them because they're heroes. Can't trust anyone too easily," Batman says being more loquacious than usual.

Flash, Green Arrow and Plastic Man's positions are off. Well, Flash's really isn't a position at all, really, and GA and Plas are out of the starting area.

Anyway. Not likely it'll affect my first move any, so...

"Batman, Green Lantern, Flash and Wonder Woman," Cosmic Boy observed. "They've certainly got some of their big guns here.

"At least they didn't bring Superman," Supergirl said, sounding relieved. The others couldn't blame here. Aside from the fact that he was the single most powerful Leaguer of all, it would be uncomfortably like fighting family for Kara.

"Despite his archaic weapon, don't think Green Arrow's any less dangerous than the rest of them. And Plastic Man's smarter than he lets on," Saturn Girl reminded them.

"Yeah, yeah," Wildfire said abruptly. "So what's the plan, Brainy?"

"Move up, but not too close, and stay information," Brainiac offered. "Beyond that, I'll have to see what they do. Imra, you can keep us linked so that I can coordinate our efforts."

"Of course."

"Okay, Legion," Live Wire said. "Let's go."

"Not without me," Shvaughn Erin insisted.

"Shvaughn, you don't have any powers..." Live Wire argued.

"Neither do Green Arrow or Batman, but they're out there. I don't expect to be able to take down Wonder Woman by myself, but I can help, if you'll let me."

Live Wire looked to the other Legionnaires for support, but found none. They all knew how Shvaughn could be.

"All right," Live Wire sighed. "Come on."

BTW guys you listed E Flash but it's R Flash who's 68 points.

My bad. I wanted E Flash for the outwit but the 68 pointer is the R.

I understand you wanting JLA to win, Vance, I love them too but what I really hope is to see both of these teams get enough points to make it to the next round, those Legionnaires have proven to be tough!.
